Beginning in 2023, Amanda Holden and Alan Carr will step into the roles previously held by host Bradley Walsh, as they team up to present this year’s event together.
When he learned about his role as the host again, Carr expressed: “I’m absolutely overjoyed to be invited back so quickly for the Royal Variety Performance! It’s such an incredible compliment and honor. To get the chance to co-host this enchanting event with my dear friend and TV partner Amanda Holden just makes it even better. If I manage to have half as much fun as I did three years ago, then everyone is in store for a fantastic experience.
Holden subsequently stated, “What an incredible privilege it is for me to be staging the Royal Variety Performance this year. I’m still in disbelief! The Royal Variety Performance 2024 line-up
This year’s Royal Variety Performance features an assorted group of entertainers, and following the usual customs, the current Britain’s Got Talent winner, Sydnie Christmas, will perform alongside Dave Arch and The Royal Variety Orchestra.
This year’s Eurovision champion, James Bay, Nemo (apparently a mistake as Eurovision doesn’t have a winner named Nemo), and Sophie Ellis-Bextor are all set to captivate the audience with their thrilling acts on stage.
To mark their remarkable 50-year milestone, the dynamic duo known as Penn and Teller are sure to leave spectators rolling with laughter through their act. Additionally, there will be a mesmerizing magic show by the talented Stephen Mulhern.
Elsewhere, The Devil Wears Prada cast will treat audiences to a song, led by star Vanessa Williams.
Additionally, we’ll feature a unique blend from the musical “Oliver!” and a presentation of numbers from “Starlight Express,” a creation by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The group responsible for the hit play, The Play That Goes Wrong on London’s West End, plans to unveil an early peek at their upcoming production titled The Comedy About Spies. This new show is scheduled to make its entrance to spectators in 2025.
The comedy doesn’t stop there as comedians Ellie Taylor, Matt Forde, Scott Bennett and Larry Dean will also be in attendance.
Cirque Du Soleil is set to present a selection from their show Ovo, and also English National Ballet will perform excerpts from their Nutcracker production.
Additionally joining the lineup for this year’s performance are Lorraine Kelly and her Change + Check Choir, alongside Marti Pellow, who will be delivering a beautiful rendition of “Love Is All Around.
Viewers might have recognized Marisha Wallace from her recent stint on Celebrity Big Brother. She is scheduled to sing the National Anthem, with the Fanfare Trumpeters of the Band of the Welsh Guards providing accompaniment.
