Back in 2002, Laci Peterson went missing from her residence in California, carrying her first child who was due in just eight months.

Following the report of her disappearance, law enforcement launched an extensive search throughout Modesto, as they believed suspicious circumstances were involved.

After Laci went missing, Amber Frey, aged 27, phoned the police station following the reading of an article on the case in the news. At that time, she had been involved with Scott for about a month, yet Scott had misled her by claiming to be a widower before Laci’s disappearance.

From then, the police asked Frey to record her phone calls with Scott.

On a sunny day in April 2003, a pair stumbled upon the corpse of a near-term male fetus in San Francisco Bay. The very next day, another grim discovery was made when a pregnant woman’s body was found washed ashore approximately one mile from where the baby had been located.

It was then verified that they were the bodies of Laci and her child.

In simpler terms, we can say that Scott Lee Peterson is currently 51 years old, and before his imprisonment, he managed a business that specialized in packing crates.

Five days following the discovery of Laci’s body, Peterson was apprehended with gear for surviving in the wilderness and camping, medication, fifteen thousand dollars in cash, multiple driver’s licenses, and four mobile devices in his vehicle.

Beyond that, I might add that he’d sported bleached locks and found himself indicted on two murder charges, but maintained his innocence throughout the process.

Up until now, he continues to claim his innocence and denies guilt, actively seeking a new trial through the Los Angeles Innocence Project.

“Any and all inquiries about Mr Peterson’s case should be directed to the Los Angeles Innocence Project, a non-profit organisation wholly independent of the Innocence Project.”
