As a seasoned film enthusiast who has binge-watched more reality shows than I care to admit, I must say that I’m beyond excited for the return of “My Mum, Your Dad”! The unique concept, coupled with Davina McCall’s infectious energy, makes it a must-watch.
It’s been a while since we last saw your parents on screen, but luckily for us, the one-of-a-kind dating show hosted by Davina McCall is making its comeback on Monday, 16th September.
This upcoming sophomore season retains many similarities. As before, we’ll meet an entirely fresh group of parents, who are seeking another opportunity at romance, with their kids observing from the safety of a bunker for the most part.
As a movie buff, I’d put it this way: This year brings some intriguing twists! For one, parents are now in the know that their kids might be peeking into their private moments. Secondly, McCall shared on The One Show that parents can retreat to a secluded space called ‘The Snug’, offering them a respite from their children’s curious glances whenever they need it.
On social media, McCall hinted that a parent from the first season will make a return appearance, though the exact character hasn’t been specified yet.
Just like previously, the show will be broadcast every day (Monday through Friday) on ITV1. In this rural manor that serves as the setting during this period, the parents will find themselves, creating an ideal atmosphere for fostering romantic relationships.

Where is the My Mum, Your Dad house?
My Mum, Your Dad was filmed earlier this year at a countryside manor in Midhurst, West Sussex.
Reportedly, the grand house boasts an impressive value of approximately £8 million, encompassing forty-five sprawling acres. It includes not one but two swimming pools, a fitness center, and a sauna for relaxation.
The house also has a tennis court, spa, hot tub, and the most beautiful countryside views.
Davina McCall previously described the house as “the most romantic countryside location”.
It’s uncertain if the location is definitively ITV’s claim, but this grand mansion bears a striking resemblance to Viola House, a property known in that vicinity. This historic house, dating back to the 18th century, boasts an impressive 11 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms.
When is My Mum, Your Dad on?
Starting on the 16th of September, the show will be broadcast every day from Monday to Friday on ITV1 and ITVX at 9pm. If the upcoming season follows the pattern of season 1, which has 10 episodes, then the final episode should air on Friday 27th September.
The first five episodes have already dropped on ITVX.
