Year after year, every renowned figure requires a seasoned dance companion, and this time around, among the stellar lineup of professionals, I see none other than Amy Dowden gracing the dance floor once more following a well-deserved break.

Since the age of eight, Amy has been dancing. In the year 2017, she and her current spouse, Ben Jones, earned the title of British National Champions together. Interestingly, they were the first all-British pair to win this championship in more than three decades.
Among their many achievements, they’ve been crowned British Dance Federation Champions, English Closed Champions, as well as the Welsh Closed and Open Champions.
As a devoted dance enthusiast, I can confidently say that I’ve always admired Amy Dowden, who remains among the top-tier Ballroom and Latin American professional dancers in the United Kingdom to this very day.
In May 2023, the dancer shared that she had received a diagnosis of stage III breast cancer and subsequently underwent a mastectomy. Unfortunately, this meant she couldn’t participate in Strictly Come Dancing.
In February 2024, Amy shared that her recent medical examination revealed “no trace of the illness”, although she was told not to expect a completely clean bill of health for another five years.
