Who is Círdan in The Rings of Power?
In simpler terms, Círdan is an expert shipbuilder, particularly renowned as the master of the Gray Harbors, which serve as a means for elves from Middle-earth to travel to the everlasting lands of Valinor.
He is highly regarded, particularly by Elrond whom he guides as a mentor, and possesses a wealth of knowledge to impart.
In the opening acts of Season 3, I found myself gripped by the wise words of Círdan as he cautioned Elrond about the potent influence of the Rings upon living creatures, and the grave danger they posed if they were to land in unscrupulous hands. As a keeper of one of the Elven Rings, Narya, his counsel was both timely and profound.

As a passionate cinephile, I found myself in a scene where I was subtly urging Isildur to cast off his precious ring into the fiery depths of Mount Orodruin. However, my persuasive efforts were in vain as Isildur adamantly rejected my suggestion.
Who plays Círdan in The Rings of Power?
Círdan is played by actor Ben Daniels.
Daniel is recognized for playing diverse characters on stage, television, and film. Notably, he portrayed General Merrick in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Adam Galloway in House of Cards, Santiago in Interview with the Vampire’s second season, and Bel Riose in Foundation, a series on Apple TV+.
