As a dedicated follower of the Duggar family for years now, I must say that Jana’s marriage to Stephen Wissmann feels like a beautiful chapter unfolding in their already intriguing story. Jana shared with People that “[The Wissmann’s]” were fond of traveling and singing. She recalled an incident about thirteen years back when they unexpectedly got trapped by snow in their home, which is unusual in Arkansas.
Initially, Stephen hadn’t crossed my mind at all given our significant age gap – he was 31 while I was 34. However, as time passed, I found myself rekindling connections with this individual hailing from Nebraska.
In the past, these soon-to-be married individuals had a short-lived romance a few years ago. Despite their decision to part ways, they managed to maintain contact. As Jana explained, “they occasionally kept in touch with each other over the years.”
Who Is Stephen Wissmann’s Family?
Despite not being part of a family of 19, Stephen is actually one among thirteen siblings. Interestingly enough, Jeremiah Duggar, Jana’s brother, wound up getting married to Stephen’s sister, Hannah. The couple reconnected in early 2024, and Jana mentioned that her future husband was ready to embrace the turmoil of marrying into the Duggar family.
Speaking of herself, the daughter of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar shared that she had been hesitant at first, but his consistent actions, his return, and unwavering affection towards her touched her deeply. She acknowledged the challenges that come with their large family, yet emphasized how rare it is to find someone who endures all those difficulties, suggesting he truly cares for her deeply.
The large number of family members attending the couple’s August 15th wedding in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, was due to the numerous relatives who were present.
As someone who hails from extended families, I always cherish opportunities to gather and commemorate such special instances, and having everyone present truly amplifies the joy. It’s incredibly meaningful for me.

I serve as the proprietor at Wissmann Enterprises, Inc., a company that specializes in commercial roof coatings, industrial blasting and painting, and excavation and trenching ventures. Beyond my professional commitments, I’m also a licensed private aviator.
What Are Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann’s Plans for After Their Wedding?
Once married, Jana plans to relocate to Nebraska, the state where her husband is employed in his irrigation system installation business, as well as sandblasting and painting.
She expressed her joy, saying, “Things have been wonderful! We’ve been busy working on our new home, a little house we recently purchased. We’ve been repairing and organizing it, and the process has been quite enjoyable.”
