As a cinephile with a penchant for all things dance-related, I must say that this season of Strictly Come Dancing has been nothing short of captivating. The energy and passion on the dancefloor are palpable, and the diverse cast of celebrities and their professional partners have made every week a thrill to watch.
Now, we’ve picked up where we left off with Strictly Come Dancing, as Week 5 is almost upon us. Following a nerve-wracking elimination round, only 11 contestants, accompanied by their professional dance partners, are left to grace the ballroom floor.
One such celebrity is TOWIE legend and reality TV personality Pete Wicks, who has been paired with 2022 Strictly winner Jowita Przystał.

Jowita originates from Poland and could be recognized from The Greatest Dancer, the BBC dancing competition she participated in alongside partner Michael, who eventually won the 2020 series. Her passion for ballroom dancing ignited when she was 11 years old, and she crossed paths with Michael at a dance camp in Kraków in 2013.
In 2014, this duo clinched the title of Polish Open Latin Champions, and they’ve also showcased their skills on board cruise ships in productions like Priscilla, Rock of Ages, and Legally Blonde.
Given this pretty impressive CV, it’s unsurprising that Przystal feels at home on the dancefloor.
What has Jowita said about Strictly Come Dancing?
Jowita appears incredibly thrilled to take part in the show, as she expressed back in 2021: “Being a part of this show is my greatest dream realized. There aren’t enough words to express how I feel at this moment. It still feels surreal to me, but I can hardly contain my excitement about becoming a member of the Strictly Come Dancing family. I can’t wait to pour all my heart and soul onto that dance floor!
Given she’s back here again in 2024, it’s fair to say that’s still true now.
In the grand dance-off of 2022, I found myself standing alongside Hamza Yassin, my celebrity partner, as we danced our way to victory and snatched the coveted Glitterball trophy! Fast forward to 2023, I was honored to be partnered with the inspiring Paralympian Jody Cundy. Together, we took the dance floor by storm!
Is it possible that she’ll form a victorious pair in this year’s competition? So far, it seems uncertain, but as we know, Strictly Come Dancing can be full of surprises!
