Audience members gasped in surprise when Monica disclosed that Stephen had been unfaithful, secretly exchanging messages with another woman during a sleep study.
Monica told Stephen the messages were “disgusting”, to which he replied that she was “right”.
Later, he asserted that he hadn’t fabricated being at a sleep study, stating instead: “Monica, I honestly made an incredibly foolish error, when I was intoxicated during a sleep test and received a text message from someone.
“I know that it was a stupid decision.”
After the discussion we had last night, Monica criticized Stephen for continuing to message the woman the following day and also for sending messages to her when Monica had expressed a desire to delay sexual activity due to Stephen’s uncertainty about marriage.
She asserted that there was no need for him to accuse her of anything related to his unpleasant state, and then she requested him to settle the debt by transferring the amount through Venmo.
I’ve practically poured my whole heart into our relationship, and I’m finding it hard not to feel a bit ashamed about that. It’s strange to me that you intended to shake hands with my father this weekend when I learned you were planning on deceiving him,” she went on.

Stephen recently spoke to People about the texting incident, confirming that he’s no longer with Monica.
In his reflection on the program, he expressed: “The Love Is Blind experiment, not solely due to my error, demonstrated something profound. It showed me that when all external factors are stripped away, leaving just you and another person, it takes only 10 days to develop a deep affection for someone.
He added: “I can confidently say no matter what, as a cynic, that I fell in love with Monica within 10 days. I fell in love with her in those pods, 100 per cent.
There’s no question in my mind that I completed the task, and it was effortless due to the user-friendly design of the experiment.
