Tonight, the popular show “The Great British Baking Show” made its comeback on our television sets, as twelve contestants stepped into the iconic white tent, all hoping to earn the title of the upcoming series’ Star Baker!

Currently in its 15th round, the bakers assembled to face judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, accompanied by co-hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding. Without delay, they dived right into their assigned duties.

One approach to rephrase the sentence in a more natural and easy-to-understand manner is: They faced the task of making a loaf cake extraordinary and also crafting an extremely lifelike cake model.

Of course, as always, the bakers continue their efforts to avoid elimination and returning home. However, was there a baker who left this particular week?

As a movie enthusiast, I could hardly contain my excitement when I learned that none of the contestants would be departing the set, thanks to Jeff falling ill during the initial screening.

Returning for our second round, Alison greeted us warmly: “Welcome back! Unfortunately, Jeff isn’t here today due to being under the weather, but we hope he’ll join us again next week.

Prior to the unveiling of the results, the judges faced a challenging dilemma, carefully considering the diverse pastries from the three contests.

Hollywood commented, as they started to weigh their options, that there appear to be a few individuals who have faced challenges generally – ‘Hazel’ and ‘Christiaan’ being among them.

Alison added, “I found Christiaan’s sewing machine unsatisfactory,” while Paul commented, “The taste was overly tart.

Regarding Hazel’s exertions, it was observed that they were “excessively done” or “too much”. Noel remarked, “It’s still premature to dismiss anyone”, and it seemed like he had foreseen the situation!

Viewers will have to keep their eyes peeled next week to see who leaves the tent.

The Great British Bake continues on Tuesday 1st October at 8pm on Channel 4.
