Why Armie Hammer Says He "Likes" The Cannibal Rumors Now

As an ardent fan who has witnessed Armie Hammer‘s metamorphosis from a promising actor to a resilient soul, I find myself captivated by his unwavering spirit and remarkable transformation. The cannibal rumors that once swirled around him may have been bizarre and outlandish, but they seem to have served as a catalyst for self-reflection and growth.

Armie Hammer would rather have you say something extreme about him than nothing at all.

Indeed, the Call Me By Your Name actor recently shared why he is no longer fazed by the yearslong rumors that he is a cannibal.

In the premiere of his podcast, “Armie Hammer Time,” Hammer candidly admitted to Tom Arnold, “I was straightforward: ‘Hey, I’m a cannibal.’ Is it louder to say, ‘Armie Hammer is a cannibal’ or ‘Armie Hammer might not be a cannibal’?

The former cast member of “The Social Network” expressed gratitude for the speculations, which arose in 2021, as they prompted him to acknowledge and address his actions properly.

He continued, “Loud discussions surround the topic of cannibalism. An apology rarely follows such remarks. People tend to believe what they hear about someone, then swiftly return to their own concerns and interests.

However, Hammer’s recent remarks regarding the accusations were made only four months following his initial response to the speculations, where he dismissed them as “extraordinary.

As I reflect on my past experiences now, I find myself chuckling at the absurdity of it all. Just a few months ago, I was labeled as a cannibal by many, yet here I stand, proving them wrong. They were so quick to believe the rumors about me consuming people, but the truth is, they were merely baseless accusations.

The actor, who has two children, Harper (age 9) and Ford (age 7), with his former wife Elizabeth Chambers, initially found it difficult to address the recent allegations.

Hammer exclaimed, “You’re essentially saying, ‘Really?’,” he continued. “Could you clarify your statement? Are you aware of the steps required to become a cannibal? That involves consuming human flesh. How on earth could I possibly take on that role?” It was quite peculiar.

In addition to being accused of eating people (anthropophagus rumors), Hammer also encountered many accusations of sexual misconduct. After a two-year investigation by the LAPD, no charges were brought against him. However, Hammer shared his thoughts on why this difficult experience ultimately proved beneficial for him.

He expressed that it feels incredibly freeing during his interview on the Club Random podcast in July. Previously, a significant portion of his life was consumed by worrying about how others viewed him, but now he no longer needs to concern himself with that.
