Why It Ends With Us Fans Suspect a Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni Rift

As a dedicated follower of Hollywood happenings, I must admit that the unfolding drama surrounding the cast of “It Ends With Us” has piqued my interest. Having observed the industry for years and seen my fair share of on-set disputes, I can’t help but feel a sense of déjà vu as I watch this story unfold.

It Ends With Us fans are starting to sense some tension.

With the release of the movie starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in cinemas on August 9, there’s been a buzz about the camaraderie among the cast members behind the scenes. Interestingly enough, some fans have noticed that while Justin, who both stars in and directs the film, was not often seen alongside his co-stars like Blake, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, and Isabela Ferrer during the press tour.

During the grand debut of “It Ends With Us” in New York City on August 6th, Justin chose to maintain a separation from his co-stars and the author herself, Colleen Hoover, whose book served as the basis for the movie.

“A user on X (previously known as Twitter) speculated on August 7th that something significant definitely took place on the set of ‘It Ends With Us’. I’m eager to find out what actually happened.”

Intriguingly enough, I find myself pondering about the current state of our film project. Despite the fact that none of my colleagues have openly commented on the supposed disagreements, their conduct at the premiere certainly sparked a fair share of intrigue and speculation among us.

At the movie’s premiere, Blake, who plays the lead character Lily Bloom and is also one of the film’s producers, took pictures with Brandon, Jenny, and Isabela. However, Justin, aged 40, was seen in photos only with his wife Emily Baldoni and his private guests. It’s important to mention that the cast opted for small group shots instead of a complete group photo.

Besides her husband, Ryan Reynolds, Blake was present at the premiere too. In an interview with TopMob News, Ryan mentioned that he contributed some lines for the movie. Moreover, Hugh Jackman, Ryan’s co-star from Deadpool and Wolverine, was also there.

This detail from the 36-year-old—who shares kids James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4 and Olin, born in 2023 with Ryan—also sparked a conversation on social media, with one fan even alleging on X, “Streets are saying Ms. Blake Lively had her husband a little TOO involved with the production & promo of the movie.”

In response to rumors regarding edits made to the movie behind the scenes, a source with inside knowledge told TopMob News, “During post-production, there are typically multiple versions of a film. This is simply part of the process. Everyone involved agreed on the final cut as being the best possible version of the movie.”

Nonetheless, there were several other instances at the movie’s premiere that sparked intrigue among fans. In an interview on the red carpet with Deadline, Jenny, who portrays Justin’s sister in the film, tactfully evaded a question about collaborating with the actor-director.

Jenny expressed to the publication, “My job is incredibly demanding,” when asked about it. She further explained, “Suddenly, I felt like saying, ‘I’d prefer to handle one task at a time.’ In truth, I’ve often pondered this, as writing holds a unique charm for me—it truly does. Recently, I’ve been considering and thinking, ‘Acting is enough for me.'”

Upon entering the cinema, Justin didn’t present the movie to the public alongside Blake and Colleen. Further investigation on social platforms revealed that neither the cast nor Colleen follow Justin, but he follows them instead.

Some spectators argue that the marketing strategy for “It Ends With Us” – featuring flower shop installations and even a blend of Deadpool and Wolverine elements – might not have been as sensitive as a movie on domestic violence ought to be. Interestingly, Justin is one of the few involved in production who has openly discussed the profound themes during interviews.

“It seems unsettling to me how they’re hyping up the ending without discussing the content of the book/movie, and I haven’t seen anyone else doing it except Justin.”

While some people just enjoy watching the spectacle, as one more individual put it, “I find Justin Baldoni and the ‘It Ends With Us’ cast feuding quite amusing.”

TopMob News has reached out to reps for Blake and Justin but has not yet heard back.
