Why Julie Chrisley Was Absent From Press Conference After Release

Julie Chrisley is cherishing every moment with her family.

Two days following the release of reality TV personality Chrisley Knows Best star, Julie Chrisley, along with her husband Todd Chrisley (who had been imprisoned for tax evasion and bank fraud, receiving presidential pardons from Donald Trump), Julie opted to forgo their family’s press conference to instead spend some one-on-one time with their adopted daughter Chloe Chrisley.

During the May 30th press conference, Todd expressed that his wife Julie, a kind, God-fearing woman who he has been married to for over three decades and is an exceptional mother, is currently at home with their daughter Chloe. He added that Chloe is very attached to her mother, and they are grateful to have their family together again.

Chloe is Todd’s granddaughter, born to Todd’s son Kyle Chrisley (formerly with Teresa Terry). The reality star, Todd, and his wife Julie, adopted Chloe in 2016 when Kyle was dealing with drug issues and had distanced himself from his father for some time.

At the same time, Chloe and Julie were catching up on missed moments, Todd and his 27-year-old daughter Savannah Chrisley were openly discussing their resolve to challenge their past convictions, which they believe were unwarranted, as well as the perceived injustices within the Department of Justice and the Bureau of Prisons.

Todd expressed his gratitude in the following way: “Firstly, I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to my Lord and Savior who helped me get through this difficult time. I also want to thank President Trump, his administration, Alice Marie Johnson, everyone who has prayed for us, those who have continued to fight, and those who worked tirelessly to uncover the truth. For all of this, I am truly grateful.

Originally scheduled for release in 2032 (Todd) and 2028 (Julie), their prison terms were shortened when President Trump granted them pardons on May 28. This decision was prompted after Savannah, who knew the president, spoke up on behalf of their release.

Just as Savannah expressed,” I echoed, “she’s been through a tireless struggle, and witnessing my child exert such effort is both a blessing and a heart-wrenching experience. It’s a testament to their strength, yet it’s painful because, as a parent, we’re supposed to shield our children from such battles. So, I will forever be indebted to you for standing by them during these trying times.

How did Chloe, the youngest of the family’s five kids, respond when she learned that her parents would be released from prison? Initially, it took her some time to fully comprehend the news.

Savannah shared with Leland Vittert of NewsNation that Chloe seems to be still in a state of shock. She’s cautious about getting too hopeful, fearing something unfortunate may occur. However, Savannah is thrilled about the prospect of bringing her father home and reuniting him with Chloe. They both share this excitement.
