Why Lala Kent Has Not Revealed Name of Baby—and It Involves Beyoncé

As I delve into this heartwarming narrative of love, motherhood, and nostalgia, I can’t help but feel a profound connection to these women, Lala and Scheana, as they navigate their roles as mothers. Their journey evokes memories of my own experiences with motherhood – the joy, the struggles, the endless love, and the unbreakable bond that develops between a parent and their child.

Even Lala Kent bows down to Beyoncé.

Instead of revealing the name of her second child on her recent podcast episode of Give Them Lala, the star of Vanderpump Rules opted to keep it a secret, as this episode coincided with the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer’s 43rd birthday.

“Today is Beyoncé’s birthday,” Lala said on the Sept. 4 episode. “We can’t announce today.”

According to the 34-year-old, people wouldn’t care about her newborn daughter’s name if she revealed it on the Grammy winner’s birthday. Therefore, she decided to delay the big reveal so that it wouldn’t be overshadowed by all the other celebrations.

Lala said, “I’ll wait a bit,” while playfully hinting at the baby’s name. She believed that ‘Baby S’ needed her time to shine.

Lala, mom to Ocean (age 4) and former partner Randall Emmett, welcomed her second child on September 3. On that day, she posted a recording from her Instagram Stories capturing the baby’s first cries.

Lala wrote in the accompanying caption, “Welcome into the world, my love.”

Despite the unknown name of the new addition, Lala has been transparent about her choice to grow her family.

She shared with Cosmopolitan in January that when her life took an unexpected turn, she felt strongly about having additional children. She achieved this through the aid of a sperm donor and intrauterine insemination (IUI). She found it peculiar because people often told her, “You’ll meet someone,” but she began to question, “Why must my desire for more kids depend on another person?

She continued, “There are many ways to have a baby, and you don’t need a man to do it.”

For Lala, it was significant that she began discussing this topic as there are numerous women worldwide who patiently anticipate a man’s arrival and long for children, unaware that there are alternative methods of conception available.

The reality star expressed, “This wasn’t a path I ever envisioned taking, but here I am. I always imagined myself in a conventional relationship and having a family, yet the universe seems to have different ideas for me now. I’m incredibly thankful that this alternative route has presented itself.

I never imagined myself treading on this path, but here I am, and it feels surreal,” I confess as a reality star. “Truth be told, I envisioned myself fitting snugly in the mold of a typical relationship and starting a family, but now that life has presented me with unexpected twists, I’m incredibly thankful for this alternative path.

However, it doesn’t mean that Lala has completely abandoned the idea of finding a partner after she ended her three-year relationship with Randall in 2021.

In an Amazon Live stream in April, she expressed her faith, stating, “I trust that love exists for me once more.
