Gypsy Rose Blanchard is sharing why she divorced Ryan Anderson.
Seven months since her separation announcement with the middle school teacher, the ex-prisoner (now expecting a child with boyfriend Ken Urker) officially confirmed the finalization of their divorce. She also shared the moment she decided it was right to part ways with Ryan.
33-year-old Gypsy shared with People magazine in an interview published on December 9th that in March, a heated disagreement between them served as her initial realization, or “aha moment”, that she was indeed married.
Gypsy pointed out, “It’s somewhat similar to realizing, ‘Ah, yes, I guess this is me conforming,’ or following the usual path that everyone takes in life. However, I’m merely accepting it as my lot in life, instead of striving for something more.
33-year-old [woman], who married Ryan in June 2022 while serving time for her role in the murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, expressed that they had resolved their financial disputes through court proceedings and hoped to part ways amicably.
Gypsy went on, stating that she proposed a peaceful discussion for the sake of wrapping things up. She’s now awaiting a reply. It appears he chose not to be present at the scheduled court hearing.
It’s uncertain if Ryan will ever reply to his ex, but it seems Gypsy is indeed heading towards a fresh start: Motherhood.
This past spring, the woman about to become a mom rekindled her relationship with Ken, who she was engaged to from October 2018 to August 2019. They are now eagerly awaiting the birth of their daughter, Aurora Raina Urker, due in January.
In an interview with People magazine in May, Gypsy expressed her love for Ken. She found solace and support from him during difficult emotional times. However, it was only later that she allowed herself to acknowledge and reciprocate the deep-seated feelings she’s harbored for him all along.
She mentioned for the first time, I’m engaging in an activity that brings joy to me. Essentially, I’m focusing on my own happiness.
