On September 9th, the star of Teen Mom OG publicly accused Brandon Davis and Teresa Davis on her Instagram Story. She alleged that this couple, who adopted Carly (originally Catelynn’s daughter) in 2009, have prevented her from communicating directly with their daughter due to being blocked.
At the close of the day, I believe her parents are worried or uncomfortable because Carly frequently inquires about why we no longer see each other regularly, and proposes ideas like flying to her for a weekend. This is according to Catelynn’s explanation. While I will always advocate for Carly’s love for her parents, who have nurtured her, it’s the persistent distance they maintain that doesn’t aid Carly in our relationship.
Catelynn claimed they were prevented from communicating because they shared photos and news about her sisters. She questioned, “How is it just for Carly and the other children if this is the case?
As a dedicated mother of three beautiful girls – Novalee, age 9, Vaeda, age 5, and Rya, who is 2 – I share this journey with my partner Tyler, also 32. Despite being a biological mother, the unique challenges of raising an adopted child are not lost on me, and I can’t help but feel the restrictions that come with it.
In simpler terms, Catelynn expressed that as a biological mother, she has no power or authority. All she can do is demonstrate her efforts and continued attempts to Carly (her daughter). Eventually, it will be up to Carly to decide if she wants to comprehend who was excluded from her life.
Catelynn clarified that her post wasn’t about exposing Brandon and Teresa publicly, as she was merely expressing her personal feelings. She explained, “I’m simply voicing my own thoughts, not hurling abusive language or anything of the sort. As birth parents, we are taught to accept what we’re given and feel grateful, but when things don’t go as planned, we’re expected to keep silent.
Speaking of Tyler, he’s been a constant companion to his wife over the years, having been high school sweethearts. Furthermore, he greatly values spending time with their oldest child, as evidenced by his Instagram post from June 2023 about their recent visit together.
He commented on Carly, saying she’s incredibly intelligent and compassionate, but also playful with a contagious laugh. He admires the wonderful job her parents have done in raising her. Watching her interact with her sisters is like hearing the same joyous laughter and seeing countless hugs repeated.
