Why Teen Mom’s Jenelle Evans Wants to Normalize Cannabis Use for Moms

When it comes to her next career move, Jenelle Evans is feeling pretty fired up.

In an exclusive chat with TopMob News, the former MTV star shared that she is planning to launch a cannabis business. This venture has been on her mind for quite some time, as hinted during her 2024 appearance on “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter”. She assured her fans that this project is indeed moving forward. “I’ve been extremely busy,” she explained, “trying to put everything in place and organize it. I’m hoping to make an announcement sometime this fall.

As a die-hard fan, it’s no surprise to me that she, the mother of Jace (with ex-boyfriend Andrew Lewis), Kaiser (with former fiancé Nathan Griffith), and Ensley, her daughter with estranged husband David Eason, frequently indulges—in the words of her mom, Barbara Evans—in recreational substances. High! High!

The North Carolina native openly admitted, “It’s well-known that I smoke.” In fact, she claims everyone is aware of it. To put it straightforwardly, she doesn’t consider it a significant issue.

Janelle shared, “I believe it’s crucial for me to make it commonplace among other mothers since many face judgment due to smoking. It’s similar to having a glass of wine after a long day for me.

So regardless of what any of her haters might think, she’s ready to toast to a fresh start.

After spending a full year apart from David, whom she married on their North Carolina property in 2017, Jenelle informed TopMob News that she had filed for an absolute divorce. This legal process is expected to finalize either this week or the next one.

Just in time for her to say yes to a little celebration.

She mentioned that she’s been concentrating mainly on herself and her children, aiming to move past the difficulties,” the 33-year-old explained regarding her growing separation from David. On a June 2024 episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, she accused him of emotional abuse, and even sought a six-month protective order for domestic violence.

Now she plans to visit a gentlemen’s club in New York City, specifically Spearmint Rhino, on June 12 at 10 p.m., to mark her divorce with a lively celebration. As she put it, “What better way is there to make the announcement?

Speaking about recent events in Las Vegas, Jenelle shared that she’s been busy working off-camera on various television projects she has planned. In addition, she’s been savoring the opportunity to take a gamble and shape a fresh future for herself.

For quite some time, even though her relationship with David was poisonous, Jenelle confessed that fear was what kept her bound in their union. She questioned if she could manage on her own, handle three children by herself, and if they would obey her without a male figure present.

A little over a year since the announcement of their separation, she’s grown accustomed to having sole legal and physical control of Ensley.

Despite their ongoing court case, she mentioned that she is currently managing solo as a single parent, without any outside interference. She finds this experience incredibly rewarding.

Despite initially feeling daunted by the concept of single parenting, Jenelle expressed confidence in her decision, stating, “I believe mothers are uniquely equipped to make the right choices for their children.” She continued, expressing joy at being able to provide safety and stability for her child during this crucial time, adding, “I’m glad I have the opportunity to do so now.

So far, holding all the cards has been nice for Jenelle.

Jenelle acknowledged that she spent a significant amount of time attempting to mend that relationship, which could have been used for other productive endeavors. She’s content now that she can state she gave it her all to preserve the partnership, but she also expressed relief in cutting ties. In essence, Jenelle did everything within her power. However, it seemed like David and everyone else were constantly clashing heads.

At the most challenging phase, she expressed, amidst persistent bickering, “It was simply draining positive vibes. Thus, I had reached a point where I was ready to let go of all that negativity. Since then, everything has been surprisingly tranquil and serene. The level of anxiety among us has significantly decreased.

Her spirits, however, are decidedly high.

Jenelle expressed that she’s embarking on a fresh phase in her existence and leaving behind any unfavorable vibes. She simply wants to rediscover who she is and embrace her true identity once more.

Meanwhile, as she searches for her next Jenelle Evans, some of her previous co-stars have announced who they believe is their match. Discover which Teen Mom celebrities have found success in the realm of love.

In 2009, viewers witnessed Catelynn Lowell and her partner Tyler Baltierra grapple with the challenging decision to give their first-born daughter, Carly, up for adoption during the debut season of 16 and Pregnant. Since then, this beloved duo has been together for 13 years, tying the knot in August 2015. Together, they’ve welcomed three more daughters into their family: Novalee, Vaeda, and Rya.

Despite the lingering sorrow of their daughter Carly being away, Brandon and Teresa Davis continue to strive for a brighter tomorrow.

In an interview with TopMob News in January 2025, Catelynn expressed that their bond “depends entirely on what she desires.” She continued, “If she wishes to maintain a relationship with her biological siblings, or even with us, great. If not, we get it. Whatever form of connection suits her best, because it should always revolve around the adoptee’s preferences.

In the span of fewer than six months since they started dating, viewers witnessed Maci Bookout deal with an unresponsible Ryan Edwards on the show 16 and Pregnant. Despite their engagement, this high school couple parted ways less than a year following the birth of their son Bentley in 2008.

Currently, they are working towards establishing a collaborative parenting bond. As shared with TopMob News in 2023, Maci expressed that Ryan’s presence has become more regular and consistent than it may have been in the past.

In 2012, Maci discovered her long-term partner in Taylor McKinney from Texas. Not long after, they started expanding their team, as they say. Their family grew with the arrival of daughter Jayde in May 2015 and son Maverick the following year. A few months later, in October, they got married in Florida.

Speaking to TopMob News in 2023, she described her partner as her life companion, sharing responsibilities in parenthood, daily life, and their TTM Lifestyle fashion brand. “He’s simply my soulmate,” she said. “Even though we’ve faced challenging times together, I can confidently say that I still prefer him. I appreciate him. And there are moments when I feel like punching him, but I’d rather resolve our disagreements or endure difficult periods with him than go through such trials with anyone else.

Regardless of having different partners now, the former MTV celebrities, who became close during the production of The Challenge, still share parental responsibilities for their daughter named Ryder.

From the very start of Cory entering Ryder’s life, the primary focus for us has been about the type of father Cory wanted to be and the kind of parent he aspired to be,” Cheyenne shared with TopMob News in March 2020. “I wasn’t going to settle for a dad who only showed up at special occasions or posted about parenthood on social media. I demanded full commitment from him. It seems that from the beginning, he admired my approach and that’s why we have such a successful co-parenting relationship.

After their romance had ended in 2018, they chose to rekindle their relationship. During Cheyenne’s 28th birthday celebration, she announced on Instagram that they were back together. In May of 2021, they welcomed their first child, a son named Ace, and tied the knot in September 2022.

In an interview with TopMob News in 2024, Cheyenne shared that the previous two years were spent crossing items off their list. They had always wanted a baby and welcomed Ace into their family. Marriage was another dream they had achieved by having their wedding. Lastly, their goal of buying a house became a reality when they purchased their new home.

Now, she added, “I have no desire for action or setting a goal. Instead, I long for tranquility, to simply sit and remain unmoved. My aim is to find contentment right here, right now. And to cherish our bond. That’s all I crave – nothing more.

Indeed, it seems that Cheyenne is about to expand her family even more, as she revealed in the episode of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” airing in May 2025, she will be welcoming her third child.

As an over-the-moon fanboy, let me share my tale: There were moments when my heart wavered between yearning for a little bundle of joy and apprehension, almost like a pendulum swinging back and forth. Initially, the desire to become a dad was all mine, but then she embarked on a phase where she too felt the call. At first, our pages didn’t align, but as fate would have it, we found ourselves in the same chapter, eager to write this new story together.

Establishing a bond during filming for the show ‘Ex on the Beach’ might not seem like the foundation of a love story at first glance, but fast-forward several years and two children, daughters Mila and Maya, later, Cory and ‘Are You the One?’ alum Taylor Selfridge are still creating ripples in their relationship.

In 2023, he confided in TopMob News that they had recently purchased a new home. He also acknowledged the curiosity surrounding their wedding plans, stating, “We’ve been discussing it. We’ve made all the preparations except for the ring and me proposing to her. Taylor truly deserves this moment, and it’s something we both aspire to. At the moment, we’re simply working towards making it happen.

After getting married to Mackenzie Standifer in May 2017, Ryan found himself admitting into rehab. Notably, during his stay in treatment, they welcomed their first child, Jagger, in the year 2018.

I tried to keep it simple and conversational while maintaining the original meaning of the sentence.

Despite having their daughter Stella join them in January 2020, Mackenzie opted to file for divorce three years after that.

Currently, Ryan is betrothed to Amanda Conner. Together, they’ve had their first child, a girl named Presley, who was born in February 2025.

Despite their highly disputed relationship concluding irreversibly in 2013, this pair has been successfully sharing parental responsibilities for their now-adolescent child named Leah ever since.

In January 2022, Amber shared with TopMob News that we enjoy each other’s company while maintaining physical distance, but the bond between us is strong. She added, “Our connection has grown into something more profound; we consider ourselves a family and prioritize our relationship accordingly.

It’s true that families can have disagreements at times. Lately, Amber has used social media to make numerous statements about Gary, which indicate they may not be on good terms anymore. Moreover, her strained relationship with Leah has been highlighted on the show Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.

Following several years as a couple, a proposal was made and a brief attempt on the reality show “Marriage Boot Camp,” Amber and Boston-native Matt Baier ended their engagement in 2017.

On Dr. Drew Pinsky’s podcast, Amber admitted that at some point in their relationship, she simply grew tired of listening and stopped caring. She built a wall around herself to protect herself from potential future pain.

On the set of “Marriage Boot Camp,” Amber developed feelings for crew member Andrew Glennon. They publicly confirmed their relationship at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards and welcomed their first child, James, in May 2018.

However, the duo parted ways shortly following Amber’s arrest on charges of domestic battery in July 2019. After a lengthy and challenging court case, it was determined that California native Andrew would be granted sole legal and primary physical custody of their child in 2022.

The “Teen Mom” celebrity shared with TopMob News that they’ve put in a lot of effort to grow personally and strengthen their bonds with their kids. They emphasized that, despite openly discussing their history with substance abuse and mental health issues, everyone deserves a chance for self-improvement, not to be defined only by past challenges.

With unwavering persistence, she asserted, “Even if your journey hasn’t been smooth, if it’s led you to grow into a better, stronger, and kinder individual today, keep pushing ahead just as I will. Know that I’ll always stand my ground for the children I cherish above all else.

Following an online encounter with Amber, Dimitri Garcia appeared on “Teen Mom OG” for the first time in April 2020. On the program, Amber stated, “Dimitri is from Belgium, he’s 39 which makes him 10 years older than me. However, he’s quite an attractive man.” She continued, “I began to confide in him and we agreed that it would be beneficial for us to meet since we both like each other.

In April 2021, Amber shared on the “Teen Mom OG” reunion special that she was still in a relationship with Dimitri. She stated, “We’ve known each other for 18 months, but I haven’t seen him for a year.” Although Amber and Dimitri didn’t publicly confirm a breakup, Amber introduced her new partner, Gary Wayt, during a June 2024 episode of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter”.

In the crisp autumn of 2023, I found myself connecting with Gary 2.0 on a popular dating platform. As the sun set on our initial conversation, an exciting new figure emerged onto my digital horizon – Gary 2.0. The following weeks saw me sharing laughter, insights, and dreams with this intriguing individual. Then, came an unexpected opportunity: I was invited to join a virtual gathering with some of my friends from the Teen Mom cast.

As we all huddled together on our screens, I proudly introduced Gary 2.0, sharing stories about our shared experiences and aspirations. His charisma was undeniable, leaving an indelible impression on everyone present. That’s when Gary 2.0 truly zoomed into focus for me – as a captivating presence in my life and a fascinating character to introduce to my inner circle.

Despite his proposal in May 2024, their relationship didn’t last long. During his visit to North Carolina for Amber’s brother’s wedding in June, there was an argument between them, which resulted in Gary leaving suddenly and Amber filing a missing person’s report.

And while Gary was soon located, the duo’s engagment wasn’t the only thing left broken.

Amber shared, on ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’, that she endured the agony of believing her fiancé had passed away for approximately three to four days. She described dealing with the heartache and confusion of trying to comprehend why such a thing could happen to her, adding that she’s currently navigating through a difficult situation.

She went on to say, “This man shattered me. I had been steady for so long. For the first time in years, I’m not okay because a man proposed to me.

Several months passed following the arrival of their daughter Emilee in April 2015, and eventually, Gary and his partner Kristina Anderson tied the knot in a charming seaside wedding ceremony.

In a 2022 Instagram post, Gary expressed that you have one of the kindest and most radiant spirits he has encountered. He admitted that he wouldn’t be able to navigate life as he does without your presence by his side.

In December 2008, two months before Sophia’s birth, the man who was Farrah Abraham’s daughter’s father tragically passed away in an accident.

Farrah was involved with real estate agent Simon Saran, on again, off again, for more than two years – marking her first significant relationship since the passing of her high school sweetheart.

Despite their 2017 breakup turning sour, they made an attempt to maintain some form of friendship, albeit with difficulty.

Simon expressed to TopMob News that he holds no grudges against Farrah. He explained that they come from distinct backgrounds; she prefers the artificial aspects of life, while he seeks authenticity. Despite their differences, he wishes her well and hopes for her continued success in all future ventures.

Jenelle Evans and Andrew Lewis, who are Jace’s parents, separated shortly after his birth in 2009. Since then, Jenelle has had minimal interaction with her son’s life.

Jenelle contemplated during a 2019 episode of Teen Mom 2, saying, “I do feel sad because that’s Jace’s father. However, I know his character, and I don’t wish for him to let down my son. I don’t want him to reappear and then vanish again.

Following a one-year marriage with Courtland Rogers and the birth of her second child, Kaiser, from her former fiance Nathan Griffin in 2014, Jenelle later got married to David Eason on their North Carolina property in September 2017. This wedding took place eight months after they had their daughter Ensley.

Following a difficult period, David was accused of a minor child abuse offense related to Jace. At this point, Jenelle described it as a malicious smear campaign against him. Later on, Jenelle disclosed that they had decided to part ways.

She clarified on social media that instead of going directly for a divorce, she was required by North Carolina law to be legally separated for a year. Additionally, it’s necessary to demonstrate that both parties reside at different addresses.

Recall the charming individual who once inquired from his then-girlfriend, Chelsea Houska, about when he could finalize the documents regarding that error?

Completely in the rearview.

Despite the challenges, the Teen Mom star-turned-HGTV personality maintains a surprisingly peaceful connection with her high school ex, Adam Lind, who is Aubree’s father. As she shared with Us Weekly, “The atmosphere is positive, and our relationship is very open.” There are no negative undercurrents, and they occasionally meet without any issues.

In October of 2016, what started as an adorable encounter at a gas station in 2014 between Chelsea and Cole DeBoer evolved into an enduring union. Following the birth of their son Watson in 2017, and daughters Layne and Walker in 2018 and 2021, respectively, this couple embarked on a joint venture: Their HGTV series Down Home Fab.

Speaking with TopMob News, Chelsea stated her intention for their potential return to TV: a fun, positive show where they could genuinely express themselves. She expressed that this decision seemed perfectly fitting, describing it as an exciting chance to display their authentic selves.

Despite their efforts to transform their friendship into a lifelong union, Leah Messer and Corey Simms, who were high school sweethearts, filed for divorce just six months after their October 2010 wedding, even though they were the parents of teenage twins Aleeah and Aliannah at that time.

Corey has been married to Miranda Patterson since 2013.

In the year 2012, Leah got married to Jeremy Calvert. The following year, they were blessed with a child, Adalynn.

Since their separation in 2015, they’ve been working diligently to share parental responsibilities for their daughter, with outcomes that can be both successful and challenging at times.

Leah shared with TopMob News that she’s found a more perfect version of herself through her daughters. Watching them pursue what they love and having the opportunity to assist them in their lives brings a sense of wonder. I truly cherish this role as a mother, particularly as a mother of girls.

As I stepped into the exciting realm of going Instagram official with Jaylan Mobley in 2021, I couldn’t help but feel captivated by his charm not only towards me but also towards my precious daughters.

The couple announced their engagement in August 2022, but broke up that October.

As a fervent admirer looking back on the past, I can wholeheartedly admit: that split was long overdue for me. Reflecting on it now, a year later, I’ve gleaned invaluable lessons from my last relationship’s demise. With each passing day, I sense an exhilarating feeling that my life is embarking on a brand new, promising chapter.

Kailyn Lowry had her oldest son, Isaac, with her high school sweetheart Jo Rivera when she was only 17 years old back in 2010.

Despite parting ways a year later, they now maintain a harmonious co-parenting relationship. In fact, Kailyn has been co-hosting her podcast, “Baby Mamas No Drama,” with Jo’s wife, Vee Torres, for quite some time. Reflecting on this, Kailyn penned on her social media platform after attending Jo and Vee’s 2018 wedding: “We’ve come a long way since we were 18. I couldn’t ask for a better stepmother for Isaac.

Kailyn’s second child, Lincoln, became part of the team in November 2013. This was about a year after Kailyn, who was then a prominent figure on Teen Mom 2, married Lincoln’s father, Javi Marroquin.

In late 2016, their marriage ended, and since then, their relationship has had its ups and downs as they both forged separate paths.

As I stand here, happily engaged to Elijah Scott, I found myself walking down the aisle in April 2025 at an intimate ceremony on Florida’s stunning Vero Beach. My dear father, our kids, and our pastor were the only witnesses present for this heartfelt occasion. My son Eli and daughter Maizee were there to share this beautiful moment with us. While we have a grand reception planned for this summer filled with family and friends, our small ceremony was everything we wanted it to be – an intimate affair for our loved ones and a special day for the boys. Here’s to a lifetime of love and happiness!

Despite Kailyn giving birth to sons Lux and Creed with partner Chris Lopez throughout their off-again, on-again relationship, they ultimately decided to end things permanently.

She shared with TopMob News in 2020 that there is currently no communication between us. However, I am optimistic that things will improve over time, although I don’t have any grand plans. I don’t want to say anything negative. I simply hope for the best for our children, and trust that whatever happens, it will eventually work out for the better.

With her current companion Elijah, Kailyn has found a solid base for the first time. As she told People, “Elijah is nothing like my previous partners or the fathers of my kids. He works with concrete, gets messy at work, but he’s also deeply family-oriented. He’s very close to his own family and ours, making him a fantastic partner for me. I feel that our partnership is a great fit.

A strong enough one that she finally said yes to one of his many proposals, in fact.

In a chat with TopMob News last September 2024, I, as your trusted lifestyle guide, shared that my long-time neighbor and eventual life partner had proposed marriage on numerous occasions. However, I didn’t say an immediate “no.” Instead, I responded with something like, “Yes, yet not at this very moment.

Though I admit that the actions of the construction worker have indeed shifted my perspective on marriage, I’m not necessarily dashing out to pick up a white wedding dress just yet. Jokingly, I’d say the timeline for our nuptials depends on the particular day you ask me about it now.

Despite facing numerous highs and lows since the birth of their daughter Kloie in 2017, Indiana residents Jade Cline and Sean Austin hinted optimistically to their followers in January 2022 that things were looking up for them.

She shared with TopMob News that significant events took place in our lives, as well as substantial improvements in Sean’s life and his future. I am incredibly proud of him and where we find ourselves now. Eight months later, they revealed their engagement, getting married in October 2023.

In 2024, Jade confided to TopMob News that while their relationship isn’t flawless, they acknowledged its imperfections. Yet, they shared a deep affection for one another and manage to keep things going.

In the year 2021, residents of California, Ashley Jones and Bar Smith, exchanged vows in a private ceremony. This event took place four years following the arrival of their child, Holly, into their family.

But after calling off their romance several times, Ashley officially filed for divorce in 2024.

After more than a decade since “16 and Pregnant” star Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin II became parents to Nova in 2011, there were hints that they might rekindle their relationship.

Currently, Briana shared with TopMob News in 2024, expressing her preference: “I’m seeking a mature partner now, not someone who feels like a young man, as I was accustomed to dating in the past.

Following her appearance on the one season of ‘Teen Mom 3’, Briana became a part of ‘Teen Mom 2’ in its eighth series, and welcomed her second daughter, Stella, with former partner Luis Miguel, on July 2017.

After that point, Luis has been inconsistent at most when it comes to his participation. During a December 2019 episode of Teen Mom 2, Briana shared with Dr. Drew that she believes Luis desires a family with her. However, since she’s not providing him with that, he seems to prefer keeping his distance entirely.
