As I delve into the lives of these Salt Lake City real estate agents, it’s clear that each one brings a unique blend of personal and professional experiences to the table. Tyna Edwards, for instance, has made a bold move by leaving the Mormon church and coming out, all while juggling her career, family, and a new relationship. Her journey is both inspiring and thought-provoking, as she navigates the challenges that come with embracing her true self in a community that may not always be welcoming.
Tyna Edwards is no stranger to the Salt Lake City reality TV scene.
Indeed, the broker from Utah, who is featured in Bravo’s latest real estate show “Sold on SLC”, admitted that she had been a recurring character in several episodes of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” in the past.
Tyna shared an exclusive tidbit with TopMob News, revealing that she was part of filming a few episodes of Housewives several years ago. She is acquainted with Lisa, Whitney, and Meredith, but doesn’t have a particularly close relationship with the rest of the ladies in the group.
To which iconic scenes might viewers recall her from? Let’s revisit some of the early parties hosted by former series star, Jen Shah.
“It was at Jen Shah’s alien party,” Tyna added, “and then also après ski.”
During the debut of “Sold on SLC“, Lisa also appeared in a brief role, but Tyna didn’t necessarily feel jealous when co-star Sarah Martindale was assigned to show the high-maintenance Housewife expensive properties.
“I was like ‘you take that on, Sarah,'” Tyne quipped. “‘You go, girl!'”
Additionally, Tyna explained why viewers who enjoy successful real estate programs will find themselves captivated by the latest series as well.
She excitedly shared, “I can’t get enough of shows like ‘Selling Sunset’ and ‘Million Dollar Listing’. When this new project came up, I couldn’t help but exclaim, ‘Wow, this is amazing!’
Viewers will undoubtedly witness the same level of competitive dynamics among the agents on the show, as their work environment is no less intense.
Tyna mentioned, “There’s the workplace tension, there’s the personal interactions – it’s all about shifting dynamics.
Don’t miss the stunning real estate showcase on Sold on SLC airing tonight, December 4 at 9 p.m., right after the new Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on Bravo. If you can’t catch it live, episodes will be available for streaming tomorrow on Peacock.
And keep reading to meet the whole SLC cast of brokers.
In her role as founding broker at Presidio Real Estate and rival high-performing real estate agent, Jennifer Yeo has been tirelessly working towards the growth and prosperity of her company since its establishment in 2011. Guided by her “raise the bar” philosophy, she places a premium on loyalty and unyielding determination within her team. However, at work, Jennifer often finds herself navigating through the personal conflicts that arise among her agents. At home, her husband Darin provides a stabilizing influence to help keep her centered.
Kenny Sperry prioritizes his family, his LDS faith, and his career above everything else. At Presidio, he regularly achieves top-tier results for the brokerage, and he’s eager to expand his portfolio by handling more high-end listings. As a father of three and husband to Jessica, Kenny attributes his religion with helping him overcome challenges in his younger years.
Brimming with quick thinking and unwavering authenticity, Tyna Edwards takes great pride in her knack for selling properties ranging from modest starter homes to luxury real estate. Lately, Tyna has parted ways with the Mormon church, embraced her identity openly, and along with her two daughters, acquired their cherished dream home. Inviting her partner, BJ, from California to become a part of this contemporary family, they now share the same roof. Notably, Tyna has some trusted associates among her peers at Presidio, but she is not afraid to challenge a fellow agent over a harmful rumor that could potentially jeopardize her professional standing and connections within the Mormon community.
Following her move to a rival company last year, Malaysia Fua discovered that the grass isn’t always greener, and she took a bold step in asking for another chance at Presidio. As a devoted Mormon 2.0 mother of four and wife to ex-NFL player Alani Fua, Malaysia strives to maintain harmony between her thriving profession, hectic family life, and vibrant social circle. Upon her return, she found herself on rocky ground, but she’s determined to rebuild Jen’s trust and reunite with the other agents by infusing some excitement and energy into the brokerage.
Born and raised in Brazil, Sarah Martindale infuses Salt Lake City with her spirited demeanor and vivid personal flair. At home, she’s a devoted mother of two and a loving wife to Chris, who just so happens to lead the largest competitor brokerage to Presidio. When her loyalty is challenged at work, Sarah finds herself grappling with tension, with Chris standing by her side.
Under Jen’s guidance and trusty companion, Matt Jones is resolute about elevating his real estate journey at Presidio. Being a father of four, married to Nicole, and an active member of the LDS church, Matt is driven by pursuit of excellence amidst healthy competition. At work, he often finds himself entangled in office gossip while encountering conflicts with another agent.
