Why Todd & Julie Chrisley’s Daughter Chloe’s Adoption Was The “Best”

As an obsessed fan of the Chrisley family, I can’t help but be moved by Chloe Chrisley’s heartwarming story of her adoption day and the special bond she shares with her grandparents Todd and Julie.

Chloe Chrisley knows best.

The young girl, who is Todd Chrisley’s biological daughter with his estranged son Kyle Chrisley, cherishes her favorite memory dearly. This special moment occurred when Todd and Julie Chrisley formally adopted her as their own granddaughter.

Chloe shared with her sister Savannah Chrisley during the July 23 episode of the “Unlocked” podcast, “It was an extraordinary day, even better than any other day I’ve had before.”

Chloe clearly recalls the details of the day in 2016 when her adoption was legally completed. She even mentioned missing school for the court date and having a family breakfast celebration with her siblings – Lindsie (34), Kyle, Todd’s children with ex Teresa Terry, Chase (28), and Grayson (18).

I hesitated to head for breakfast, fearing I’d be tardy for school. Yet, I thought to myself, “I must eat to fuel up, but I also can’t miss school.” Surprisingly, it turned out to be a pajama day, so our schedule was more relaxed than usual.

Chloe, who has Kyle’s former partner Angela Johnson as her biological mother, recalled an amusing incident upon returning to school for the themed day.

She mentioned, “I also bought a onesie.” Later on, I needed to switch outfits since I was wearing a dress beneath and had to use the restroom for that purpose.

For the Chrisley clan, that day stood out as extra special. With Savannah temporarily in charge of their two younger siblings due to her parents’ imprisonment, she couldn’t contain her excitement as she celebrated her sister’s significant achievement.

“That day is permanently etched in my memory, Savannah, 26, remarked. I can still recall the profound joy on your face and the deep sadness of your father’s tears.”

The siblings talked about Chloe’s feelings towards being looked after by Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were convicted of federal fraud charges involving hidden wealth from tax authorities in 2022. Their sentences added up to 19 years in prison; however, Julie’s sentence was recently overturned and she is now waiting for a new sentencing, while Todd remains incarcerated until around 2033.

Savannah inquired from Chloe whether Todd and Julie made her feel cherished and secure, and the fifth grader responded with great excitement.

“Yes,” Chloe assured, before adding later, “They’re my parents.”
