Why Wednesday Fans Will Be “Pleasantly Surprised” by Season 2

Get ready to go gaga over Wednesday season two.

Luis Guzmán, also known as Gomez Addams in the Netflix fantasy series, hinted that fans will undoubtedly be thrilled and perhaps even scream with excitement when the second season of the show, led by Jenna Ortega, premieres in August.

Guzmán expressed to TopMob News at Netflix’s Tudum event on May 31st that the journey is simply amazing, and he believes people will be extremely delighted when they experience it.

And expect many more spooky antics inside Evermore Academy.

The actor remarked, “This feels like magic! I haven’t found a word to fully capture the essence of this production – it surpasses the extraordinary.

Guzmán also shared his “crazy” encounter during season two, when Lady Gaga was on set. As per Netflix, the Grammy-winning artist is set to appear in a cameo role as Rosaline Rotwood, a renowned teacher from Nevermore who interacts with Wednesday, a character in the series.

As for how the “Abracadabra” singer fit into the dynamic?

The actor from Narcos playfully implied he was prevented from meeting Lady Gaga due to his enthusiasm as a fan. He expressed joy that she participated in their project and learned she’s a big fan of the series herself. Therefore, he appreciated that she wished to contribute her talents to them.

Apart from Lady Gaga, there are some fresh additions to the Addams family, such as Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Uncle Fester (Fred Armisen), and Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez). In addition, Steve Buscemi and Billie Piper will be joining the cast for their first appearances.

And as the cast has grown, so has the scope of the series.

In a recent interview with Tudum, show co-creator Alfred Gough revealed that the first season primarily delved into Wednesday’s character but introduced other characters as well. However, viewers didn’t have the chance to fully understand these other characters. Moving forward in the series, we will be able to explore and develop their storylines more deeply, broadening the overall scope and range of the show.

Meanwhile, Ortega told TopMob News in March that “everything is very graphic” this time around.

The young person excitedly shared, “Some of the scenes we filmed during season two, particularly the final episode on a Wednesday, are among my favorite moments from the series. This is truly thrilling for me.

Wednesday season two premieres Aug. 6 on Netflix.

In the meantime, keep reading to see when all of your favorite TV shows premiere this year.
