Why would you buy an entry-level M4 MacBook Pro when you can buy a top-end Surface Laptop 7 for $50 less?

Why would you buy an entry-level M4 MacBook Pro when you can buy a top-end Surface Laptop 7 for $50 less?

As a tech enthusiast with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the Surface Laptop 7 has truly caught my eye this year. I remember the days when I was saving every penny to afford a decent laptop for my graphic design work, and if this deal were available back then, I would have been over the moon!

With Black Friday in full swing, we’re witnessing some fantastic discounts on outstanding laptops this season. Microsoft introduced its top-tier Copilot+ PCs earlier in the year, and we predicted that the Surface Laptop 7 would be the laptop to surpass in 2024 due to its potent and efficient Snapdragon X chip. Stunningly, the premium 13.8-inch Surface Laptop 7 configuration is now more affordable than Apple’s new M4 MacBook Pro, available at a reduced price of only $1,549 on Antonline – that’s a cool $50 less expensive than the MacBook Pro!

The Surface Laptop 7 is the best laptop of 2024 and is now incredible value.

Why would you buy an entry-level M4 MacBook Pro when you can buy a top-end Surface Laptop 7 for $50 less?

Initially, I was completely captivated by the Surface Laptop 7 upon its release in June, going as far as saying it embodied the ideal laptop design. In 2024, I believe it remains the laptop to surpass, and I haven’t found a single competing model that can match up. Not even the latest MacBook Pro, which now costs more than the highest-tier Surface Laptop 7, can outshine this device in terms of its overall value.

This specific deal includes the Snapdragon X Elite, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD storage, and a gorgeous 120Hz 13.8-inch screen for just $1,549. That’s not the sort of deal you see every day. To compare, the M4 MacBook Pro with just 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage is $50 more expensive. I mean, unless you need that slightly better mini LED display, why would you choose the MacBook?

Since their introduction, Copilot+ PCs have proven immensely beneficial, compelling Apple to boost the minimum RAM in the Mac to 16GB, mirroring the Surface Laptop 7. However, when the high-end model boasting 32GB RAM is available at a lower price than the base MacBook Pro, it seems illogical to choose anything other than the Surface Laptop 7 unless you specifically require macOS.

The Seventh Generation Surface Laptop boasts an attractive design and offers a remarkable keyboard and tactile touchpad that can challenge the performance of Mac’s haptic touchpad. Additionally, this laptop includes a touchscreen, which I find preferable to mini LED screens on any given day.
