Wicked Fans Believe Kristin Chenoweth Cameo Has Been Revealed

As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the magical world of Oz, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming movie adaptation of Wicked! Growing up, the original Wizard of Oz was a staple of my childhood, but it wasn’t until I stumbled upon the Broadway musical that I truly fell in love with this enchanting tale. The musical’s powerful message of friendship, self-discovery, and standing up for what’s right resonated deeply with me, and I found myself eagerly awaiting any news about a film adaptation.

For nearly two decades, a film version of “Wicked” has been in the works, and now, it seems to be approaching. This film is based on Gregory Maguire’s novel “Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West”, with Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande portraying Elphaba and Galinda, characters later recognized as the witches from “The Wizard of Oz”. The “Wicked” musical, which premiered on Broadway in 2003, has since become a cherished part of musical theater, generating over $1 billion in total revenue on Broadway by 2016. There has been speculation about whether the original Broadway cast, Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth, might be involved in the film adaptation, and it appears that we may soon find out.

A fresh trailer for the Wicked film showcases unseen clips, offering peeks at the cast and team behind the scenes on set. In a group moment with Elphaba and Galinda surrounded by Oz residents, one tall blonde-wigged extra could potentially be Chenoweth, sparking fan theories that Chenoweth, who initially played Galinda, might show up in the movie as Grande’s Galinda’s mother. Chenoweth herself has hinted at a possible cameo, telling ET, “we’ll have to wait and see.”

It appears as though Kristin Chenoweth is visible in the latest featurette for ‘Wicked’ ??

In her social media post, Ariana Grande expressed her admiration for the massive team behind the film, stating that they worked tirelessly in every department. She praised them for creating a consistently safe, kind, and inspiring environment during the production that lasted over a year. She shared her anticipation for telling stories about the experience but lamented that she won’t be working with the crew every day anymore. Lastly, she expressed gratitude for their brilliance and the support they provided throughout the journey.
