Please try refreshing.” Over the past few weeks, this platform owned by Elon Musk has been embroiled in various controversies, with many voicing concerns over the frequent downtimes of the app. Musk has attempted to allay these worries by suggesting that the site is under attack from unidentified sources. As of 2:54 pm ET on Downdetector.com, there have been a staggering 58,359 reports of outages among X users, which is significant given the daily user base of the social media platform.
Previously mentioned, this instance is just one of numerous outages that the platform has experienced in recent months, with some attributing Elon Musk’s focus to his work on DOGE. Users of the site may find such issues commonplace for social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Due to its large user base and continuous flow of information, many have been turning to Bluesky, but X still has more users compared to other companies because it boasts a massive following that was acquired when Musk took over Twitter a few years ago, which stirred up controversy at the time. The current version of Twitter is now known as X.
It appears that some users are able to use the app without any issues, indicating that it may not be problematic for all users. Users are sharing their experiences of accessing the site in an attempt to clarify the current outage situation.
