In Wildgate, players assume roles of space Prospectors, banding together in small groups to navigate through a treacherous and uncertain cosmic landscape. Their primary mission is to secure the elusive Artifact, a relic shrouded in mystery. Throughout their journey, they’ll come across wreckages brimming with abandoned riches and long-forgotten treasures. To emerge victorious, a crew must amass as much loot as possible, including the Artifact, and safely reach an extraction point.>

Studio head Jason Chayes characterizes “Wildgate” as a game tailored for those seeking a thrilling space odyssey with their very own team. The multiplayer aspect enables players to weave their own tales by engaging with one another during these expeditions, thereby shaping the narrative together.

In a press release statement, Chayes expressed that Wildgate is intended for individuals yearning for an exhilarating space voyage with a brave crew. Players are encouraged to collaborate and tackle escalating cosmic perils, be it enigmatic dangers from the Reach or challenges posed by rival Prospectors. In a related comment, Dreamhaven CEO Mike Morhaime discussed how the game will recognize and reward players who strategize effectively and work together to achieve objectives. In the thrilling space-themed game Wildgate, an exciting aspect will be the spaceship battles. Players will have the opportunity to employ sophisticated strategies based on their spaceship’s configuration, and can even infiltrate enemy ships to cause chaos from within. The versatility of players’ spaceships allows them to either escape with the Artifact via a secret exit or opt for total annihilation of all other crews in the battle.

Wildgate is currently being built for PC (Steam platform), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s scheduled to launch towards the end of this year.
