Aubrey O’Day clarifies her role regarding the allegations surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing sex trafficking case.
In the mid-2000s, a 41-year-old woman who gained popularity as part of rap producer’s girl group Danity Kane, fueled talk that she would give testimony during the federal trial when she posted on her Instagram Stories on May 14 – nine days into the proceedings – stating she was in New York City. However, it has been revealed that these rumors were false.
Aubrey stated on the May 16th episode of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ podcast, “Amy & T.J.”, that as far as he knows, he is not scheduled to testify in the Diddy trial.
In the TV series “All About Aubrey,” the main character mentioned that she had been contacted by government representatives concerning a certain issue, but she didn’t disclose the specifics of their conversation.
“I was contacted by Homeland Security,” she said. “I did have a meeting with Homeland Security.”
The podcast was held quite close to the courthouse. When T.J. pointed out to the ex-star of ‘The Simple Life’ that they were recording their podcast “just a few blocks away from the ongoing trial,” she seemed surprised, saying, “I hadn’t realized that.
She additionally clarified her reason for sharing on Instagram that she was in New York and having fun. “I felt it was important to let everyone know that I wasn’t here to testify,” O’Day stated. “It could be risky. It’s not something you brag about or act carefree with. One should never discuss such matters openly. I have been vocal.
Asked from whom would she in danger, she responded, “I mean, New York is ‘Diddy City’.”
The individual known as Combs, who is also recognized by the stage names Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and Love, has denied all allegations related to federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking involving force, fraud or coercion, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution in this case.
According to a report from NBC News, he stands charged with organizing unconventional sexual gatherings and intimidating or forcing people close to him to meet his sexual needs, as stated in the indictment.

The individual known variously as Combs, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and Love, has denied the federal accusations of racketeering, forced sex trafficking, and arranging transportation for prostitution. According to an indictment obtained by NBC News, he is alleged to have orchestrated debauched parties involving sex and to have bullied and manipulated people around him to fulfill his sexual desires.
Previously, she has openly criticized Combs, who is 55 years old, and this was evident during her recent appearance on “The Masked Singer” in February.
She disclosed on stage, “My former supervisor, who goes by the name of Love, has officially renamed himself as such. You’ll find him using the heart symbol extensively wherever he goes. Currently, he’s incarcerated, and I want to tell you all, the love heart is now with us.
41-year-old O’Day has been vocal about her disagreements with Combs, who is 55 years old. This includes her recent statements made on the show The Masked Singer in February.
She disclosed on stage, “My former boss, who goes by ‘Love,’ has legally changed his name to reflect this moniker. You’ll find him using love hearts extensively wherever he goes. Currently, he’s incarcerated, but I want to tell you all, the love heart is now with us.
Since the raid on his homes in Los Angeles and Miami back in March 2024, she has been keeping up with his ongoing legal struggle. Back then, she expressed on her Instagram Story, “As you sow, so shall you reap.
O’Day also alluded to justice being served after Combs was arrested six months later.
She told TMZ in September, ‘I never imagined this moment would come.’ We’ve carried this inside us for so long to keep going. Not just me, but other victims too – unknown ones as well. We’re all experiencing the unfamiliar feeling of vindication now. Each conversation I had with victims last night was deeply moving on multiple levels.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve followed the intriguing journey of Danity Kane closely, especially the dynamics within the group, which included powerhouses like Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex, Wanita “D. Woods” Woodgett, and Aundrea Fimbres, alongside me. Although Diddy Combs has largely maintained a private front regarding his interactions with us, there have been instances where he reportedly made comments about our appearances during our time together in the group.
Speaking on the “Crysis Queen” podcast last year, O’Day recalled looking back at the start of “Making the Band” and Aubrey auditioning, and she mused, “I can’t believe I ended up being the one with the sexy face.” Combs was seen expressing disdain on camera, but off-camera, he instructed me extensively on how to groom myself properly, even suggesting ways to care for my toenails.
The “Ride for You” artist noted, “With Diddy, I saw multiple… sides of him.”
TopMob News has reached out to Combs’ lawyer for comment on her allegations but hasn’t heard back.
Although Dawn Richard, one of O’Day’s former bandmates, recently testified in the trial proceedings, it was O’Day herself who did not travel to New York City for the trial. On May 16, Dawn Richard recounted to the jurors an incident where she claimed Diddy (Combs) struck a key witness, Cassie Ventura, with a skillet filled with eggs in 2009.
In my own words as an ardent fan, I can tell you that I testified, as reported by NBC News, who had journalists in the courtroom, and shared this account: “He descended the stairs, querying about his phone’s whereabouts, and in a split second, he sent me crashing to the floor. He then made an attempt to kick me, I tumbled down and instinctively curled up into a ball, shielding my head as if to protect it from any further blows.

During “freak offs,” as testified by Cassie Ventura on May 15, there were no drugs blended with the baby oil that Sean “Diddy” Combs preferred to use.
Back in October 2024, I was absolutely floored when a lawsuit accused my idol, Diddy (Sean Combs), of something truly shocking. The suit claimed he had tainted the oil with GHB or Rohypnol – infamously known as a date rape drug. As his devoted fan, it’s hard to wrap my mind around these allegations and I’m left feeling utterly bewildered.
During the questioning under defense, Ventura stated on May 15th that Combs often became envious and reacted in a volatile manner when she consumed drugs with others instead of him.
She stated that at one point, Combs had an overdose from painkillers. When questioned about whether her former partner’s emotional changes might be linked to medication use by attorney Anna Estevao, Ventura replied affirmatively, saying “yes, it was a factor.
Previously today, I inquired if she believed Combs had a drug addiction. She responded, “I’d describe him as someone who was addicted.
In response to the question, she affirmed that Combs grew agitated or uncontrollable during his withdrawal phase.
“I’m not a doctor,” Ventura said, but “coming off of certain pills he would be pretty irritated.”
On May 15th, as Ventura testified, Judge Arun Subramanian temporarily adjourned the court while Combs’ defense presented explicit emails and messages during their cross-examination.
When lawyer Estevao showed sexually suggestive texts exchanged by the ex-couple dating back to 2009 to establish their consensual relationship, the defense faced an objection from the prosecution, which the judge upheld.
After hearing the objection, Ventura was spotted having a quiet conversation with the judge, prompting the official to unexpectedly announce a 10-minute recess.
In the courtroom, as I eagerly awaited the arrival of the jury, a passionate discussion between the prosecution and defense unfolded, with our lead attorney, Marc Agniflio, insisting on the presentation of additional texts in the trial. However, the judge expressed concerns that some of these messages breached federal evidence guidelines.
To clarify, several instances from our conversations regarding intimate aspects of our personal lives were indeed presented as valid pieces of evidence in court. This, of course, is part and parcel of life under the public eye, where private matters sometimes become a matter of public record.
On the 15th of May, I found myself eagerly listening as Ventura revealed some intriguing details. She admitted that it’s hard to pinpoint exactly, but she estimated that her ‘freak off’ moments with Combs numbered in the hundreds!
She claimed that her former partner secretly recorded their intimate acts with the intention of threatening or coercion. She asserted he warned her he would distribute these recordings, potentially damaging her professional reputation.
Whenever he’d find himself in a state of distress, he wouldn’t hesitate to bring them up. It was something that happened all too often, unfortunately. But when I heard those names, I couldn’t help but shudder, fear gripping my heart. My career, my family, our reputation, it was all at risk. The humiliation was palpable, an overwhelming wave of discomfort and disgust. It’s a despicable act, one that no one should inflict upon another human being.
On May 14th, Ventura testified that she received a $20 million settlement from her former boyfriend Combs, following a lawsuit she filed against him in November 2023. The lawsuit claimed that he had sexually assaulted and physically abused her throughout their relationship.
Testifying about events from 2018, Ventura stated that following a pleasant dinner outing with Combs at a Malibu restaurant, he later acted inappropriately towards her by sexually assaulting her at her apartment. She clarified that at the time of this incident, she was already in a relationship with Alex Fine, whom she ended up marrying in 2019.
She testified that I entered the house, attacked her, and violated her on the living room carpet. She recalled weeping and protesting, but it happened quickly. His eyes seemed to lose their color, as if he had been possessed, and it felt like a part of him was being taken from her.
Combs’ lawyers argue that he did not partake in any instances of non-consensual intercourse, and furthermore, claim that the individuals accusing him of sexual misconduct consented to any sexual encounters they were involved in.
Here’s my take: In my fervor, I couldn’t help but share that Ventura testified about another instance where we, her and Combs, shared consensual intimacy, following the alleged assault. When questioned about why I chose to be with him again, I confessed, “It’s not as simple as turning off feelings like a switch. I still saw him, deeply, as the same remarkable person I once admired.
At the close of 2011, Ventura ended her relationship with Scott Mescudi, better known as Kid Cudi, due to a threat allegedly made by Combs that his vehicle would be destroyed.
Ventura stated in court, “The risk is too great, with an unpredictable outcome should our encounters continue.” He added, “Sean threatened to cause harm to us both.
Departures from Ventura were associated with urinary tract infections, mouth ulcers, and digestive problems, as stated on May 14.
During her court testimony, Ventura stated that there were numerous instances when we would have “intense competitions” or “sparring matches,” and these events were happening one after another. On some occasions, I even competed while dealing with an infection. I attempted to clean it out using water. Eventually, the antibiotic CIPRO became ineffective. It was a chaotic situation.
She continued, “It was really painful for a long time. I can’t believe I actually dealt with that.”
I’m sorry.
On the second day of his testimony, Ventura detailed the 2016 hotel incident that was captured on CCTV cameras and later broadcast by CNN in May 2024.
She stated that Combs hurled a vase at her following an attempt to exit the Intercontinental Hotel prematurely, which was preceded by a physical attack against her.
During his testimony on May 14th, Ventura stated that the vase seemed to be moving toward him. It struck the wall instead of him. No physical contact occurred between us. He was shouting at me, though the specific words he used I can’t recall precisely. I believe he must have been using something other than my name to address me.
However, she said that Combs told her “that I wasn’t going to leave him, that I couldn’t.”
Following the hotel incident, Ventura mentioned that she needed to attend the red carpet premiere of her movie “The Perfect Match” sporting bruises on her face and body together with Combs. To mask her black eye and swollen lip, she had to apply a lot of makeup. Furthermore, she commented, “I had multiple bruises on my legs, so I decided to change my outfit.
On May 13, the singer stated under oath that Diddy assaulted her in a Los Angeles hotel corridor back in March 2016 due to his anger over her leaving a “freak-off” event. (Footage of the altercation, obtained by CNN and released in 2024, was contested unsuccessfully by the defense as evidence.)
Ventura explained to the court that he decided to depart. Upon exiting, Sean pursued him down the corridor and forcefully grabbed him, pushing him to the floor, kicking him, and hauling him back to the room before taking his belongings.
Instead of participating, she found herself in a situation where she didn’t want to, given that she had a movie premiere scheduled a few days later and wished to keep Combs content. She expressed this as, “If I could appease him by performing an unusual act,” Ventura said, “then my premiere would go off without a hitch.
After receiving a black eye from him, she expressed that all she could focus on was leaving the place safely. With her big event approaching, she didn’t want to jeopardize it by causing any problems. Upon being shoved to the floor in the hallway by him, Ventura noted that she chose to stay down because she didn’t want him to inflict any more harm than he already had.
Testified Ventura, she consumed alcohol and ecstasy during her initial sexual encounter with an escort in Combs’ presence. To endure what she referred to as “freak offs,” she admitted to using marijuana, ketamine, mushrooms, or any drug that was popular at the time.
“I couldn’t imagine myself doing any of that without having some sort of buffer,” she said.
At times, she would become so overwhelmed that she’d retch violently, Ventura explained, and Combs urged me to carry on despite this.
She expressed to Combs that the hurtful comments made her feel extremely bad about herself, even worthless, according to Ventura. However, he appeared to disregard her worries.
Following an unusual incident, it is plausible that baby oil would be found throughout the hotel room, Ventura stated. If Combs had given orders for someone to wet the bed, there might also be traces of urine on the sheets. Moreover, if she was menstruating during this time, there could potentially be blood stains not only on the sheets but also on the furniture.
According to Ventura, the experience left her feeling deeply “embarrassed.” She described it as an overwhelming and revolting situation that she never wanted to be in. She found herself trapped, unable to escape quickly from this undesirable circumstance.
According to Ventura, he found it enticing, which is why the incident occurred. When Emily A. Johnson, the prosecutor, asked her why she didn’t resist Combs’ instructions in these instances, she explained that she believed it was clear that she didn’t wish to comply.
Testified on the 13th of May, Ventura stated that Combs instructed her and others involved in the “freak off” activity to rub their bodies with baby oil.
In the courtroom, she stated, “Sean requested that it be both warm and shiny, so we applied something every five minutes.
At the Montage Beverly Hills, during a surprising incident, Ventura claimed that Combs requested her to enter an inflatable pool brimming with baby oil, all while she was dressed.
I couldn’t help myself, but when Sean “Combs” had a vision for something, nothing could stand in its way. As he put it, “If it was supposed to happen, it was going to happen.” And let me tell you, that day called for no less than ten full-sized bottles of baby oil!
On May 13th, Ventura disclosed to prosecutors that during the initial year of her ten-year romance with Combs, he suggested incorporating voyeurism into their intimate activities. This started when she arranged for an escort and prepared a setup so that she could perform for Combs, who would observe her with another individual.
Ultimately, she admitted that organizing what Combs labeled as “freak off” sexual encounters, which could span from 36 hours up to four days, turned into a regular work for her.
She remembered, “At first, Sean arranged it, and I managed to make it happen in the hotel room.” Or simply, “Sean initially organized it, and I subsequently took care of setting it up in the hotel room.
Ventura said that her “stomach churned” when he first proposed the experience.
She admitted that she didn’t initially understand why it would be appealing, but she took on the task. She was uncertain, anxious, but deeply cared for him and desired to bring joy into his life. It wasn’t an action she eagerly embraced, especially given its frequent occurrence, yet again, her love for him was overwhelming.
She admitted, “At some point, I felt I didn’t have much of a choice.”
In a statement, Ventura claimed that Combs, whom she had an on-again, off-again relationship with between 2007 and 2018, often displayed violent behavior toward her during their time together.
She informed the jury that the disagreements between them were indeed intense, often escalating into acts of violence such as striking her, pushing her down, dragging her across the floor, and kicking her.
She mentioned that her injuries were frequently noticeable, explaining, “I’d develop lumps on my forehead, have black and red eyes, and sport bruises covering my entire body.
On May 13, it was expected that Ventura would testify after Daniel Philip, a male escort. Combs’ defense asked to seat Ventura in the witness stand prior to the jury’s entrance, as she is eight months pregnant.
Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo expressed to the judge that he believes there’s a certain bias, saying, “I find pregnancy enchanting and admirable. However, it can also evoke feelings of compassion.
Ventura joined later on, implying that his legal team’s request was denied during the initial motions.
On one particular instance when Ventura didn’t promptly respond to Combs’ call, Philip testified on May 12th that Combs angrily hurled a bottle of liquor towards her, subsequently grabbed her by the hair and forced her into the bedroom. “She was screaming,” Philip recalled, and from another room, it seemed as though he was hitting her, judging by the sounds. Philip added that he heard Combs shouting, “‘I tell you to come here, you come here now, not later.’
Phillip said he was “terrified” and did not intervene.
He also stated that he had heard what seemed like Combs physically abusing Ventura in another instance at the Essex House hotel in New York. “I distinctly remember her crying, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry,’ and sounds of someone being struck and moved forcefully around the room,” Philip explained. “Peeking around the corner, I observed Mr. Combs exiting the hotel completely, possibly with a towel wrapped around him.
Ventura exited the room and landed on Philip’s lap, as he stated. “She essentially attempted to reassure me that ‘everything will be fine’ and ‘I’ll manage,'” Philip added. “To which I replied, ‘This is not acceptable, and you need professional assistance.’
“I tried to explain to her that she was in real danger if she stayed with him,” Phillip said.
During questioning by prosecutor Maureen Comey, Philip stated that instead of calling the police, he perceived Combs as someone with vast authority. He added that even if he had reported the incident, there was a high likelihood that his life might still have been at risk.
Daniel Philip claimed that during the specified period, he was operating a male striptease show. He testified that he received approximately “a few thousand dollars” for engaging in sexual activities with Ventura, while Combs observed at Manhattan’s Gramercy Hotel in 2012. Philip recognized Combs by his voice, despite the fact that Combs was wearing a robe, a baseball cap, and a bandanna concealing his face.
In the courtroom, Phillip stated that Ventura had promised to tip him later, and they eventually engaged in sexual activity. They applied baby oil to each other for a short while. Meanwhile, Combs was found sitting in a corner, pleasuring himself.
Afterward, the witness continued, Ventura gave him “a couple of thousand more.”
Over the course of the following year, I was approached on various occasions, both at different hotels and their respective New York residences, by both Ventura and Combs, for similar experiences. According to me, Combs videotaped one or two instances where Ventura and I were involved intimately, and there were times when Combs would insert himself into the situation, engaging sexually with Ventura while I was present.
In the 2023 legal action where Ventura claimed her former partner engaged in sexual assault and physical violence, she asserted that Combs compelled her into having relations with male escorts.
Florez testified that Ventura appeared frightened. She huddled in a corner with her hood up and seemed to be hiding her face. There, on the floor, lay shattered remnants of a once beautiful flower vase.
After Ventura departed the hotel, Florez stated that she had a noticeable purple eye. Later on, when she was no longer present, Florez and the desk manager went upstairs to discuss the hotel regulations with Combs. According to Florez, Combs suspected the manager of secretly filming him on his phone and attempted to seize it. In response, Combs tried to grab Florez’s phone as well, Florez explained, leading him to pin Combs against a wall. Florez testified that they informed Combs they weren’t recording him, and successfully de-escalated the situation.
During the court proceedings in May 2024, Prosecutors presented slowed-down surveillance footage of the altercation between Combs and Ventura, which had initially been published by CNN. Earlier, the defense had claimed that the original clip was sped up, making the incident appear more violent than it actually was. Additionally, the jury viewed a video recorded by Florez on his phone, responding to a distress call on the sixth floor, which he had filmed.
Florez stated that he didn’t contact the police immediately since Ventura refused to answer questions regarding the incident and expressed a desire to depart instead.
During the events of March 5, 2016, Los Angeles Police Officer Israel Florez was employed as a security guard at the InterContinental Hotel. It was during this time that Combs allegedly assaulted Ventura. In her initial statement, Geragos referred to the surveillance footage of the attack—initially released by CNN in May 2024—as “compelling evidence of domestic violence.” However, he clarified that it wasn’t primarily related to charges of sex trafficking, but rather stemmed from infidelity discovered on a mobile device.
On May 12th, Florez stated that he witnessed signs of a dispute on the day under investigation, and subsequently, Combs proposed a pile of cash to Florez, hoping he would ignore the incident.
During questioning, Florez stated that he was absolutely convinced the gesture from Combs was an attempt to bribe him.
In her initial remarks, the defense lawyer, Teny Geragos, asserted that the prosecution was attempting to portray consensual sexual acts as instances of sex trafficking. However, she expressed confidence that this strategy would ultimately fail.
“Sean Combs is a complicated man,” she said, “but this is not a complicated case.”
Geragos stated that the matter at hand revolves around Sean Combs’ private, intimate sexual affairs. However, he emphasized that these personal matters are unrelated to his legitimate business endeavors.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to clarify my perspective on one of my clients who finds himself in a challenging situation. While he may exhibit behaviors that some might perceive as unpleasant or unkind, it’s crucial to remember that the charges against him do not encompass character traits such as being mean or a jerk. He is standing trial for other alleged actions, and it’s important to separate the two.
Geragos stated, “The evidence will reveal an imperfect person, yet it won’t depict someone involved in racketeering, sex trafficking, or transporting for prostitution.
Courtroom reporters for NBC News reported that Prosecutor Emily Johnson claimed Defendant Combs orchestrated an extensive team of staff members to perform illicit activities, such as prolonged “freak offs,” which were outlined in the federal indictment.
She informed the court that he occasionally referred to himself as a king and demanded to be treated accordingly, fulfilling all of his whims. Moreover, she alleged he exploited the women through his businesses, compelling them into sexual encounters with male escorts in his presence. His close associates ensured he received everything he desired.
Johnson kicked off her argument to the jury, characterizing Combs as an extraordinarily larger-than-life individual who oversaw a criminal organization.
In reference to an instance of his suspected wrongdoing, Johnson informed the jury that Sean Combs, the founder of Bad Boys Records, was actively searching for Ventura one evening following news of her new romantic involvement with someone else. Johnson claimed that Combs had brutally assaulted her, kicking her in the back and tossing her around carelessly, similar to a discarded doll.
He made a threat, warning her that if she disobeys him once more, he would expose videos of her intimate moments with male escorts, which could be considered the darkest memories from her past.
The prosecutor alleged that Combs’ inner circle covered up “crime after crime.”
The presiding judge, Arun Subramanian, expressed his belief to the jury that the trial might wrap up as early as July 4th. He added that he anticipates the trial would be over by then, though there is a chance it may extend beyond this date; however, he does not foresee it lasting much longer.
On the opening day of his sex trafficking trial on May 12th, the rap mogul’s mother, Janice Combs, and six of his older children were there to show their support.
Quincy Brown, Christian “King” Combs, Jessie Combs, D’Lila Combs (Kim Porter’s kids), Justin Combs (Misa Hylton’s son), and Chance Combs (Sarah Chapman’s daughter) – all of whom are his children from previous relationships – got to embrace their father before he met with his lawyers.
Both the prosecution and Chris Combs’ legal team consented on having an 8-member jury with 4 men and 4 women, along with 4 male and 2 female alternates, to participate in the upcoming trial.
Marc Agnifilo, Combs’ legal representative, contended that the prosecution appeared to be deliberately excluding potential Black jurors. He asserted this action could result in a pattern, urging the judge to require reasons for these dismissals.
Indeed, I wholeheartedly stand corrected, for Prosecutor Maurene Ryan Comey has refuted these allegations with great conviction. She assures us that their actions were devoid of any prejudice whatsoever. Moreover, she emphasizes the diversity within the jury, boasting a number of panelists who hail from different ethnic backgrounds.
The group of 12 jurors, residing in either New York City or Westchester, comprises a 69-year-old male actor and masseur; a 31-year-old male investment analyst; a 51-year-old male scientist; a 30-year-old female deli worker; a 42-year-old female nursing home caregiver; a 41-year-old male administrative assistant at a correctional facility; a 68-year-old retired banker; another retiree from the telecommunications industry; a 43-year-old female physician’s assistant; a 39-year-old male social worker; a 67-year-old male logistics expert, and finally, a 74-year-old female treatment coordinator.
