Will & Grace’s Sean Hayes Visits ER Twice in One Night for Heart Issue

As a dedicated fan of Sean Hayes and his remarkable career, I find myself constantly amazed by his resilience and determination. The recent incident where he visited the ER not once, but twice in one night without even informing his husband, Scott Icenogle, is truly a testament to his strength and independence.

Sean Hayes is an ER regular.

Actor from Will & Grace made an unexpected visit to the hospital on two separate occasions, keeping his husband, Scott Icenogle, uninformed.

The tale was discussed on the “Smartless” podcast, hosted by Hayes along with Jason Bateman and Will Arnett, during an episode featuring Hugh Grant. At this point, Grant expressed his struggle with jet lag as he traveled from London to Los Angeles.

On the November 18th episode, Grant expressed that he was no longer able to continue with the flight, suggesting it might be due to aging. He explained, “I’ve been awake for quite a while now, feeling extremely hungry, and my heart feels as if it’s made of soft, pliable material.

Arnett then chimed in with his own story about Hayes’ recent ER visit.

“Hugh, you should know this,” Arnett said. “Sean woke up two or three nights ago with a heart issue, drove himself to Cedars-Sinai, didn’t wake up his husband. They brought the paddles out. They put him under. They paddled him. He drove home. An hour later he woke up to use the bathroom, drove himself back to Cedars and got paddled again.”

Hayes added, “And then we had dinner that night.”

Regarding the repeated visits, a 54-year-old individual has shared his experiences with Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) in the past. The Mayo Clinic describes AFib as an abnormal and often rapid heartbeat that isn’t regular, which can result in blood clots and heighten the risk of strokes and heart failure.

During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in 2021, Hayes stated that he has Atrial Fibrillation, which makes his heart beat erratically and can feel life-threatening. He added that when he goes to the Emergency Room, it’s like he’s a regular character from “Cheers,” as they recognize him frequently because of his frequent visits.

He added that he even stops medical staff from going through their procedures.

He clarified, “I’ve got a clear understanding of what should transpire.” When asked to confirm, he responded, “Well, let me put it this way. You’re going to administer Propofol to me. I’ll lose consciousness. I’ll say ‘Clear’. And then I’ll return home because it restores the normal heart rhythm so quickly.
