Will Nic Nemeth Return to WWE During Ongoing TNA Crossovers? Former Dolph Ziggler Responds (Exclusive)

As a longtime wrestling fan and someone who has followed Nic Nemeth’s career closely, I am thrilled to see him thriving in TNA and making a name for himself as “Nic Nemeth.” His journey from WWE to TNA is an inspiring one, and it’s fascinating to witness how he’s embraced this new chapter in his wrestling life.

Nic Nemeth has joined TNA (Total Nonstop Action) Wrestling. In early January, he surprised many wrestling fans by appearing at the end of TNA’s Hard to Kill event, challenging TNA World Champion Moose as the show came to a close. Since then, Nemeth has been a frequent presence on TNA iMPACT!, engaging in feuds with Moose and The System while teaming up occasionally with his brother Ryan Nemeth. Nemeth’s TNA storylines have developed separately from the ongoing WWE NXT invasions.

In May of this year, TNA initiated a collaboration with WWE. As a result, performers from TNA such as Jordynne Grace, Ash By Elegance, The Rascalz, Frankie Kazarian, and Joe Hendry have made appearances on WWE NXT. Conversely, Charlie Dempsey, Tatum Paxley, and Izzi Dame from WWE’s NXT have visited TNA’s iMPACT! program.

Will Nic Nemeth Return to WWE During TNA Crossovers?

The Wanted Man does not see himself stepping back into his forming stomping grounds.

As a gamer, I chatted with ComicBook before TNA Slammiversary. Regarding the ongoing crossovers between WWE and TNA, I shared my thoughts: I don’t feel compelled to join WWE NXT right now.

In my perspective, that opportunity seems better suited for those who are still rising in the ranks and have some unresolved matters. However, after being a part of NXT for 19 years and already holding the championship title, I don’t see any unfinished business left for me there. If I were to return, what would be my role other than not being the champion?

In late 2023, Nemeth left WWE and started his new professional journey in earnest earlier this year. He bid farewell to the “Dolph Ziggler” persona and adopted his real name instead. Since then, he has made significant strides in wrestling circles, earning recognition with his new identity as “Nic Nemeth.” Notable achievements include winning titles in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

As a gamer, I ponder over the question of what theme song should I have if I were to make a comeback in WWE? What cool name would the crowd shout out for me? Nemeth wonders about the feasibility of returning to WWE at this stage in his career. If Randy Orton challenges me on Raw, then we can discuss business. But until then, the excitement of not knowing who’ll appear during NXT’s back-and-forth, and the surprise it brings to the audience, is an experience I cherish.

Nemeth views the current crossovers as being crucial for talent with less mainstream exposure.

In Nemeth’s opinion, what matters most is showcasing our long-term talents, whether they’ve been with us from the start or not. It’s not just about improving their statistics, but also increasing visibility for our team when they return. Even as the TNA World Champion, I wouldn’t be a top priority, but I believe some other individuals should have opportunities there.

Currently, I’m thrilled about the possibility of Joe Hendry, Jordynne Grace, and perhaps Moose joining in. I can’t get enough of it! The excitement never ends, as you never know who else might appear. I relish the uncertainty because there are so few surprises in wrestling these days. Each unexpected moment adds to the suspense and makes me eager to tune in. It’s like a thrilling cliffhanger. For wrestling enthusiasts, this is an ideal period. There’s no need for debates over favoritism; simply savor the experience. Keep in mind that there are over 500 talented wrestlers currently showcased, which is remarkable and unprecedented.

Nemeth challenges for the TNA World Championship at TNA Slammiversary this Saturday, July 20th.
