Speaking about the characters in the movie “Death of a Unicorn,” Will Poulter rates them as an impressive “11” on a scale of 10. Directed by Alex Scharfman, this A24 horror comedy features an outstanding ensemble cast including Jenny Ortega, Paul Rudd, Tea Leoni, and Richard E. Grant. The film hits theaters today and revolves around Elliot (Rudd) and his daughter Ridley (Ortega), who unintentionally kill a unicorn with their car. The wealthy family that Elliot serves is eager to capitalize on the unicorn’s extraordinary abilities, but things predictably take a dark turn. The billionaire family members, played by Poulter, Leoni, and Grant, have been described as having out-of-control tendencies.
In the interview with ComicBook, they questioned Will Poulter, Tea Leoni, and Richard E. Grant about their characters in Death Of a Unicorn, asking them to rate themselves from “Completely Clueless” to “Utterly Evil.” When asked, Leoni stated, “I believe it’s an 11,” to which Poulter responded, “Indeed, collectively, it’s an 11.” (This version maintains the original meaning while using more common phrasing and a slight adjustment in the ranking scale to make it easier for readers to understand.)
“I think we’re an 11 family,” Leoni agrees. You can watch the interview in the player below.
We wouldn’t dream of having a conversation with Paul Rudd and Will Poulter without tossing some MCU-related questions their way. When asked about the recent reveal of the Avengers: Doomsday cast, it was noticeable that there were no Guardians of the Galaxy among the names. Poulter is famously known for his role as Adam Warlock in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the last Marvel production directed by James Gunn before he moved on to lead DC Studios.
If ComicBook inquired about a possible return to Marvel for Poulter, he expressed his enthusiasm by saying, “Absolutely! I enjoyed myself immensely while portraying my character, so yes, if they reach out, I wouldn’t hesitate to join in again.
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Adam Warlock joined the team as a fresh hero. By the end of the film, there were significant changes in the Guardians lineup. Notable characters like Star-Lord, Gamora, and Drax were absent, with Rocket Raccoon taking over leadership. Accompanying him now are Adam Warlock, Groot, Mantis, Kraglin, Cosmo, and Phyla. However, it seems that Star-Lord might reappear in a future Marvel project.
Regarding Paul Rudd, the subject of “Thanus” resurfaced. This hypothesis suggests that Scott Lang would shrink, enter Thanos’s body through his digestive tract, and subsequently grow large enough to cause an explosion from within Thanos’s internal system, transforming into “Giant Man.
Doomsday, Rudd explained his confusion when Ortega seemed perplexed. Rudd further clarified, “Do you understand what we’re discussing? There was a theory – instead of confronting Thanos head-on, Ant-Man could have climbed up and then grown bigger.
A father (Paul Rudd) and daughter (Jenna Ortega) unintentionally run over and kill a magical unicorn during their journey to a weekend getaway. At this retreat, their wealthy boss (Richard E. Grant) intends to exploit the creature’s extraordinary healing powers.
The film titled “Death of a Unicorn” was crafted by director Alex Scharfman, featuring stars like Will Poulter, Teá Leoni, and Richard E. Grant. Currently gracing the silver screen, it’s available for viewing in cinemas everywhere.
