What would a potential Generation Z season 2 be about?

In case there’s a Season 2, we might expect it to pick up right where the previous season ended, with the youngsters of Danbury facing off against the elder cannibals as the storyline unfolds.

Regarding the show, its mastermind, screenwriter, and director Ben Wheatley commented: “The series is rooted in the horror genre, yet it also resembles a disaster film. It focuses on establishing the characters and their responses to the impending disaster that has struck the town of Dambury, which lies outside.

It carries reminders of Covid, a hint of the traditional zombie narrative, traces of “The Crazies” and “Threads,” among other elements.

I looked forward to designing the narrative with various age groups, ensuring diverse viewpoints would engage and influence the plot.

In regards to how significant the Covid-19 pandemic has been for Generation Z, Wheatley stated: “We had nearly shaped Generation Z in 2019, but then things changed when the pandemic occurred – it transitioned from being futuristic speculation to a lived experience, which felt strange.
