As a seasoned movie enthusiast who has seen more twists and turns than a rollercoaster ride at Coney Island, I can’t help but express my excitement over the upcoming third season of The Devil’s Hour. Having followed this fantastical thriller since its inception, it’s heartening to know that the show has been envisioned as a trilogy from the start and that we aren’t left hanging with unresolved plotlines.
After a two-year wait, the long-anticipated second installment of the enchanting suspense series, The Devil’s Hour, has made its debut on Amazon Prime Video, continuing the gripping narrative left hanging at the end of season 1.
In the upcoming season, Peter Capaldi has shared insights about evolving his character Gideon into a more “universal” or “interstellar” portrayal since his secret has been revealed at the conclusion of season 1.
In the latest season, the narrative delves deeper into the series’ theme of interwoven timelines, considering the viewers are now familiar with its genre. Yet, there are unexpected surprises and plot twists aplenty that may catch even the most attentive viewers off guard.
Of course, fans who’ve reached the finale of season 2 might be curious about whether the series will return for another season. Rest assured, we have all the details you need to stay informed!

Will there be a season 3 of The Devil’s Hour?
It was announced that season 3 of “The Devil’s Hour” would follow immediately after season 2, as its creator, Tom Moran, had originally planned the series as a trilogy.
Indeed, not only is season 3 confirmed, but it was actually filmed prior to the premiere of season 2 on Amazon Prime Video. Filming for this new season had already commenced.
It’s been clear for a while that the television series, The Devil’s Hour, is intended as a trilogy. Back in 2022, Raine mentioned that one of the things that attracted him to the job was knowing the entire first season was already written when they started shooting, giving him a clear understanding of its destination.
“I also knew that he [writer Tom Moran] had a season 2 and a season 3 planned out.”
Simultaneously, Sue Vertue, head of Hartswood Films as both executive producer and CEO, expressed her delight upon the initial announcement of seasons 2 and 3 commission: “Needless to say, we’re absolutely thrilled to carry on Lucy’s tale with another two series.
Tom Moran has many exciting ideas yet to unfold, as originally conceived as a trilogy. We’re in store for an exhilarating journey ahead.

Based on the current schedule, it’s reasonable to anticipate that Season 3 could potentially premiere in October 2025. This is approximately a year following the airing of Season 2.
