Will there be The Diplomat season 3?
Ahead of the second season’s premiere, the series was already officially renewed for another run, with production commencing prior to the airing of the new episodes.
Back in 2024, on the 10th of October, I was thrilled to learn that production for the third season of my favorite series had begun! Netflix shared the exciting news on their revamped Twitter platform, now known as X. The anticipation was palpable!
Fans can undoubtedly look forward to the news, as the second season concluded mysteriously, revealing that Grace Penn took over as U.S. President following President Rayburn’s demise.
With Kate’s fresh aspirations and Grace having links to the sinking of HMS Courageous, it looks like a confrontation is likely in the upcoming Season 3.
Having more Keri Russell is always a delight, as the production of The Diplomat’s third season has been confirmed. Catch the second season starting from October 31st!

When will The Diplomat season 3 be released?
It’s currently undetermined when The Diplomat will air its third season, however, considering that it’s already being made, it’s likely that viewers won’t need to wait much longer.
The second series came out about a year and half following the first one, however, its release was pushed back due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes affecting production. So, it’s optimistic that we might get season 3 much quicker – maybe around a year from now.
If things go as planned, viewers can anticipate the fresh episodes to debut on Netflix towards the end of 2025. Rest assured, we’ll make sure to update this page promptly if we receive any new details.
