As a seasoned space traveler with countless hours logged into various intergalactic adventures, I can confidently say that the announcement of Starfield: Shattered Space DLC has sent my heart racing faster than a warp drive on overdrive! After immersing myself in last year’s epic Skyrim-in-space journey, I eagerly await the opportunity to explore new horrors lurking within shattered space.
With the first anniversary approaching, many space travel enthusiasts are eagerly wondering if there’ll be an expansion pack for Starfield.
A year is just about long enough to rinse the game… right?
Regardless of your completion status with the game from last year that was a hit as “Skyrim in Space”, there’s exciting news about the upcoming DLC that should delight its fans either way.
We learned a lot more about Starfield’s expansion at Gamescom, and we’re pretty excited.

Will there be Starfield DLC? What the developers have said
Great news! The upcoming DLC for Starfield is titled “Starfield: Fragments of the Cosmos“. The developers have officially announced this story expansion, and it’s coming sooner than you might think!
At Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event, both the trailer and release date were unveiled, but it was clear that the developers were more eager to highlight the new Rev-8 vehicle (which is now accessible via a free update). However, we did manage to gather some information about the Shattered Space DLC.
Last year, Bethesda announced that a Downloadable Content (DLC) was on its way, and in June during the Xbox Games Showcase, we finally got our first glimpse of it. Now, with the release date seemingly just around the corner, the anticipation is high and palpable.
The new version appears significantly more ominous and spooky compared to the original, hinting at some horror influences. One might speculate that the creators of The Elder Scrolls series, Bethesda, have been dabbling in Dead Space… Here’s a peek at the trailer:

When is the Starfield DLC release date?
The Starfield DLC release date, we can now safely say, will be 30th September 2024.
As a dedicated cinephile, I can’t contain my excitement! Mark your calendars; we’re barely over a month away from this cinematic event. If the original film is any indication, you’ll want to make sure you’ve got plenty of uninterrupted time on hand, because it’s going to be a real marathon, not a sprint!
