As a seasoned gamer with years of battling through pixelated realms and labyrinthine dungeons under my belt, I must say that the latest offering from Motion Twin – Windblown – has piqued my interest like no other. Having spent countless hours mastering the art of strategic combat in games such as Dead Cells and Hades, I find myself drawn to this isometric hack-and-slash title, not just for its fast-paced action, but also for the unique dashing mechanic it boasts.

View Urgent ForecastThe game development company Motion Twin’s latest creation, “Windblown,” is now accessible on PC through Steam Early Access. As a rogue-lite, the narrative revolves around the Leapers as they strive to break free from the merciless Vortex. Take a look at the animated trailer below for a sneak peek into the hardships you might encounter.
Instead of Dead Cells, Windblown is a hack-and-slash game set in an isometric world, similar to Hades in its dynamic mechanics. In stark contrast to its colorful landscapes and adorable characters, the action is fast-paced. Players can strategically switch weapons to launch powerful attacks specific to each of the 12 available weapon types. Furthermore, this title supports up to three players for a cooperative experience that amplifies the mayhem.
Windblown begins with five distinct environments, but Motion Twin intends to grow this further by introducing additional weapons, stages, and so forth. The game’s early access phase will continue for at least a year. Once it reaches version 1.0, there may be an increase in the price, although this could also rise based on the amount of content that gets released. Keep an eye out for further updates in the meantime.
