Winnie the Pooh Voice Actor Proves He’s Best Grandpa in Cute Video

Jim Cummings spending time with his family is sweeter than honey.

In a heartwarming gesture, the voice artist behind Winnie the Pooh posted an enchanting video of himself narrating a well-known phrase from the beloved character to his stepdaughter Brittany Judge’s little one, Jax.

In the Instagram post dated June 8th, Jim was seen cradling his grandson, both dressed casually – Jim in a blue-pink short-sleeved shirt and khaki shorts, and the little one in a white T-shirt and green shorts. He affectionately rubbed his back as they bonded. The adorable baby, with the roundest of cheeks, seemed captivated as Jim narrated to him using the voice of Winnie the Pooh, “You are braver than you realize, wiser than you appear, and stronger than you imagine.

Making his own addition to the quote, Jim added, “And cute as a button.”

Indeed, the actor known for portraying Christopher Robin, who tied the knot with Stephanie Judge (Brittany’s mother) in 2020, admitted that the child might not fully comprehend yet just how monumental his spoken words truly are.

1. “Has my grandson recognized Pooh’s voice by now?” or

2. “Is my grandson familiar with Pooh’s voice?”, Jim labeled above the clip, further mentioning, “My grandson and his naptime with Winnie the Pooh.”

Following the post, fans expressed feeling touched by the adorable bonding moment.

One user wrote, “That took me by surprise, feeling a wave of nostalgia,” on Instagram. Another remarked, “It would be magical if Winnie The Pooh could read me a bedtime story.

Additionally, the production company responsible for the 2011 movie based on the A. A. Milne book series, namely Disney, also joined the affection by sharing a timeless Winnie the Pooh quote.

“Sometimes the smallest things,” Disney wrote, “take up the most room in your heart.”

Regarding Jim, who has given life to unforgettable characters such as Ed the hyena from 1994’s “The Lion King”, Drake Mallard in 1991’s “Darkwing Duck” and Ray the firefly in 2009’s “The Princess and the Frog”, it’s worth noting that this 72-year-old individual is perfectly comfortable with being acknowledged for his voiceover accomplishments.

In a recent interview with Comics Beat, published on April 14th, Jim expressed that he often finds himself limited to portraying either exceptionally good characters like Winnie the Pooh or Darkwing Duck, or extremely villainous roles such as Tasmanian Devil. However, he added that this restriction is actually enjoyable for him because he enjoys the entire range of acting possibilities.

He added, “I’ll do anything if it’s in me and they’ll hire me.”
