Winona Ryder Calls Beetlejuice Sequel Actually Happening an “Absolute Dream Come True”

As a lifelong fan of Tim Burton’s enchanting world and Winona Ryder‘s mesmerizing performances, I couldn’t help but feel a wave of nostalgia and excitement as I learned about the long-awaited sequel to the iconic film, Beetlejuice. For me, it was like stepping back into my childhood, reliving the magical moments of watching Lydia and her family navigate the eerie yet endearing world of the afterlife.

It’s been 36 years since the original Beetlejuice hit theaters, and since then, fans have eagerly anticipated a sequel. Now, with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice set to premiere next week, it’s not just die-hard fans who are excited about the return of the Ghost with the Most. For lead actress Winona Ryder, the Beetlejuice sequel is a long-awaited dream come true. In an interview with ComicBook, Ryder expressed her desire to be part of “every single moment” and spoke fondly about how director Tim Burton managed to replicate the unique atmosphere of making the first film.

Ryder expressed, “I felt incredibly immersed in every moment there. I made it a point to be fully engaged because it was like a cherished dream come true, and I wanted to savor each second, every single one of them, without exception.” She added, “Among all the experiences I’ve had, being with these people who were dear to me is truly exceptional. It has shaped my acting career in a unique way, and as a child, they were incredibly welcoming.”

She went on saying, “Tim and I shared a remarkable connection, one that he was able to replicate even amidst all the excitement or expectations. It felt as if we were back in our usual, studio-free environment, free of any industry influence. This could be a tribute to the skillful producers, but what stood out was the sense of liberation and inspiration it brought about. In that moment, I thought, ‘Let’s experiment, let’s just go for it,’ such was my trust in him.”

Will There Be A Beetlejuice 3?

Although a third Beetlejuice movie might excite Ryder, fans shouldn’t hold their breath for its release. In a recent chat, Burton hinted that, considering the length of time between the original and the sequel, another installment seems unlikely.

“Let’s do the math. It took 35 years to do this one,’ Burton said. “For another, I’d be over 100 [years old]. It could be possible thanks to medical science. But I don’t think so.”

What is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice About?

Hey there! I can’t resist sharing my excitement about the return of the one and only Beetlejuice. Recently, an unfortunate family event has brought my family, the Deetz crew, back to Winter River. You see, we’ve got a bit of unwanted company – none other than Beetlejuice himself!

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is scheduled to debut in theaters on September 6th.
