As a millennial who grew up in the magic of Disney Channel, I couldn’t be more excited about the return of the Wizards of Waverly Place family! The sequel series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, promises to rekindle the enchantment and nostalgia that we all cherished from the original show.
In a forthcoming spinoff series called “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” Selena Gomez and David Henrie, who were popular characters on the original “Wizards of Waverly Place” show from around the mid-2000s, will be bringing back the enchantment.
Continuing the story from its popular predecessor, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place focuses on the Russo family, a group of secretive wizards. The narrative will mainly center around Justin Russo, the eldest sibling, portrayed by Henrie.
Currently, Justin has grown into an adult, tied the knot, and is now a father of two, no longer practicing magic – at least not actively. However, the arrival of Billie, needing help from Alex (Gomez), compels him to rekindle his dormant magical abilities, taking on the role of a mentor for an aspiring wizard-in-training.
Apart from Henrie as the lead actor, and Gomez appearing in a single episode, the show boasts a talented ensemble of fresh faces. Excitingly for fans, there are more appearances by the Russos scattered across the series.

When will episodes of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place be released?
The follow-up series is set to debut on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, on Disney Channel. The initial two episodes will be broadcast simultaneously at 8pm Eastern Time and Pacific Time.
The first eight episodes will be available on Disney Plus on Wednesday 30th October.
Disney has confirmed there will be 10 episodes in total.
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place release schedule
After its initial airing on the network, two consecutive episodes are scheduled for release on October 30th, exclusively on the Disney Channel.
Starting from the 8th of November, our new episodes will air every Friday at 8 pm Eastern Time. We’ll be releasing two episodes per week for your viewing pleasure.
