WNBA Star Angel Reese’s Heartwarming Surprise Leaves Mom in Tears!

Angel Reese is making dreams come true for her family.

After revealing her mom, “Angel Webb Reese”, affectionately known as “Mama Angel”, a birthday cake on her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, the WNBA star disclosed another significant surprise for the individual who shaped her into who she is.

The 22-year-old stated that if their mortgage is now fully paid off, it means they have retired and are no longer working. However, they still have the option to work if they choose to. This situation was discussed on the January 30 episode of the podcast.

Mama Angel, aged 54, was taken aback to such an extent by the touching disclosure that she almost let go of her cake while brimming with emotions on the verge of tears. This surprise hit home particularly hard because she had assumed she had already been given her gift.

She said to her daughter, “When you gave me the Four Seasons gift card, I assumed it was for my birthday,” to which her daughter replied, “Guess I need to step up my game next time.

Moreover, Angel’s mom found the gesture delightful, but Angel, a key player for the Chicago Sky, also pointed out that it held great meaning for her too.

Ever since I can remember, my heart’s deepest yearning was to provide the means for you to retire comfortably and live life without worry,” I confessed, overflowing with enthusiasm. “I dreamed of covering your mortgage or whatever else might make work unnecessary for you. Yet, you’re such a dedicated woman, financially independent and self-sufficient – qualities I adore about you.

In fact, the basketball pro hinted that her mom might not be ready to give up her day job just yet.

‘If you prefer to continue working and staying active, there are always ways to do so.’ Furthermore, when I eventually relocate to Chicago and purchase a home, you’re more than welcome to visit anytime you like.

Previously, Angel had shared how her mother played a significant role in her life, impacting not just her enthusiasm for basketball, but also her affection for fashion.

In an interview with Vogue, published on January 8th, she mentioned that she frequently explored her mother’s wardrobe and would wear her clothes. She also enjoyed carrying a handbag, with styled hair, aiming for a polished appearance. To this day, she continues to aspire for such a put-together look.
