Wolf Man – TRAILER

As a seasoned movie buff with a penchant for horror and a soft spot for reimagined classics, I must say that the new Wolf Man trailer has me intrigued! With Leigh Whannell at the helm and a talented cast including Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner, this modern take on a legendary monster promises to be a thrilling ride.

At New York Comic-Con, fans were treated to an exclusive sneak peek of the Wolf Man trailer directed by Leigh Whannell. This upcoming horror film features actors Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner. It represents Whannell’s latest foray into modern monster stories, following the success of his 2020 release, The Invisible Man.

The movie tells the story of a character who finds himself and his loved ones pursued, tormented, and menaced by a lethal werewolf under the cover of darkness during a full moon. However, as the hours of night pass, this individual starts exhibiting peculiar behavior.

In this movie, Christopher Abbott, Julia Garner, Sam Jaeger, and Matilda Firth join forces. The plot revolves around a treacherous werewolf that emerges only under the cover of night during a full moon. Initially, there were whispers about Ryan Gosling starring as the main character, which would have been intriguing given his lack of experience in horror films. However, for unknown reasons, Christopher Abbott ended up taking on the lead role instead. Additionally, Justin Lin, renowned for directing several top-tier Fast & Furious movies, was initially set to direct, but ultimately stepped down from the project.

Leigh Whannell is gearing up for his fourth directorial venture, following the successes of “Insidious: Chapter 3,” “Upgrade,” and “The Invisible Man.” His skills as a filmmaker are evidently on par with his talent in scriptwriting. Initially planned for Universal’s abandoned Dark Universe of horror films (due to The Mummy’s disappointing performance, not necessarily Whannell’s fault since he had no involvement in that production), we eagerly anticipate this new project after being captivated by his interpretation of “The Invisible Man.

Universal and Blumhouse will release the project in cinemas on 17th January 2025
