As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed the evolution of immersive sims, I can’t help but feel a surge of anticipation with bated breath! With Raphael Colantonio, the mastermind behind Dishonored and Prey at Arkane Studios, venturing into uncharted territory with his independent team at WolfEye Studios, the gaming world is bracing itself for an exhilarating ride.
Seasoned game designer Raphael Colantonio left an indelible impression at Arkane Studios with some of the top immersive simulation games we’ve experienced. Later, he established his own independent studio, WolfEye Studios, which produced the immersive sim action RPG “Weird West” in 2021. Now, Colantonio and his team are preparing to reveal their next project.
Through tweets, WolfEye Studios and Colantonio have announced that they will disclose fresh information about their upcoming game within the next few days.
WolfEye Studios has affirmed that the upcoming title will indeed be a first-person action RPG, differing from the isometric “Weird West” game previously announced. As suggested by Colantonio, the new game bears resemblance to the first-person titles he developed during his time at Arkane, such as “Dishonored” and “Prey”.
“Those who enjoyed the first-person games I worked on, specifically Dishonored and Prey, will find happiness,” he noted.
As Gamescom approaches towards the end of this month, it’s likely that we’ll uncover more details about WolfEye Studios’ upcoming project, although it’s still speculation at this stage. Regardless, fresh insights are expected to surface soon, so keep an eye out for additional news in the near future.
