Worlds We'd Love To See Included in Kingdom Hearts 4

As a long-time fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, I cannot help but get excited about the prospect of Square Enix’s upcoming installment, Kingdom Hearts 4. With the reveal trailer having left us with more questions than answers, I find myself spending countless hours pondering over potential worlds that could be included in this new adventure. Based on my personal experiences and fondness for certain Disney properties, here are a few worlds I’d love to see in Kingdom Hearts 4.

As a longtime fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, I must admit that it feels like an eternity since Square Enix last dropped a significant update about the upcoming installment, Kingdom Hearts 4. With the initial reveal trailer having graced our screens some time ago, us devoted fans have been left to revisit the footage and piece together any morsels of information the developers have shared in the interim. Alas, these tidbits are few and far between.

The Incredibles

I find The Incredibles to be such an effortless favorite of mine that I’m prepared to overlook Disney’s potential licensing deal with Marvel for the chance to see this superb film enhanced even further. With Square’s impressive graphics upgrades unveiled for Kingdom Hearts 4, I can’t help but imagine how spectacular they would look in the world of The Incredibles. Admittedly, this is a self-serving request since The Incredibles holds a place among my top four favorite movies on Letterboxd.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire & Treasure Planet

In recent times, Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet have gained significant appreciation, perhaps due to the growing number of people my age expressing their views on these films since they were released during formative years (or simply because these movies deserve more recognition). Consequently, I plan to group them together as a unique category. Long overdue, let’s boost their fanbase and explore how they can enrich Kingdom Hearts 4.

The Emperor’s New Groove

Yzma from “The Emperor’s New Groove” could be an ideal fit for the storyline of Kingdom Hearts, regardless of its specific narrative in Kingdom Heights 4. The scenic backdrop of her setting has always held a special place in my heart. The opportunity to traverse the verdant hills and marvel at Kuzco’s palace would add much-needed diversity within a singular world. This location holds great potential for accommodating various intricate narrative elements, similar to how Olympus Coliseum has been instrumental in showcasing new aspects of the map in previous installments.

Gargolyes

I’m deeply captivated by the Gargoyles animated series, and I have to say, the heartless designs that harmonize with their world are truly mesmerizing. Yet, my dear fellow fan, it occurs to me that there’s something even more enticing: the character designs for Sora, Donald, and Goofy. This might sound like a far-fetched wish, but isn’t it the beauty of imagination to dream?

Star Wars

As a long-time fan of both Star Wars and Kingdom Hearts, I can’t contain my excitement about the possibility of a Star Wars world being added to the popular RPG series. Since the first hints of this collaboration emerged, I’ve spent countless hours rewatching trailers and analyzing every frame for any clues.

Haunted Mansion

The allure of Halloween Town continues to captivate fans, but exploring a Haunted Mansion universe could be an intriguing addition as well. I’d enjoy witnessing its return, yet I believe Haunted Mansion holds immense potential for Square Enix in terms of visually striking designs. Its mansion structure presents endless possibilities for creative level layouts and boss encounters. Moreover, the heartless creatures in this world could benefit significantly from the Haunted Mansion’s unique aesthetic.
