In the “Vigil of Endless Night” mission within the game “Wuthering Waves”, you’ll be required to employ the “Chrono Sign” skill, which can temporarily halt time. This skill is particularly useful when navigating swift-moving machinery.

Freeze The Time With “Chrono Sign” To Activate Device
On your adventure, you’ll encounter the task of utilizing the Chrono Sign thrice to activate a device – each time in a distinct location. Below, you’ll find my suggested solutions in the order you’ll likely encounter them:
First Encounter
Following your conversation with Chenpi, you’ll find yourself heading towards Woodveil Hall. Upon entering, you’ll encounter an icy slope that you’ll need to ski down. This will lead you to a closed door. To unlock it, locate the switch (indicated in the image below) and step onto it first.
Next, go ahead and trigger Chrono Sign by pressing the designated button on your gadget. This will temporarily decelerate time for a few seconds. The timer icon situated to the left side of your character indicates the remaining time before this power expires. Hurry up and pass through the door before the timer elapses.
Second Encounter
Continue moving directly towards the objective symbol (quest marker) to find the upcoming Chrono Sign puzzle. Along the way, you might encounter a few enemies that you can choose to engage with. However, feel free to just bypass them if you prefer.
Once more, I step onto the trigger, readying my next move. With the power of Chrono Sign at my command, I leap downwards, unveiling the hidden path beneath.
When you are descending down, make sure to avoid getting hit by the laser beams.
Third Encounter
Once you have reached the ground, head forward towards the next Chrono Sign puzzle.
As a fan, I find myself approaching an area where there’s a pillar that’s moving up and down, complete with a beam protruding from its front. Above a closed door, you’ll spot a circular mark. Your objective in this scenario is to ensure the beam makes contact with the center of this circle for approximately 1-2 seconds.
To proceed, make sure the pillar is lined up, then trigger the Chrono Sign ability the instant the beam touches the circle’s center. As illustrated below, this action will unlock the door and allow you to advance deeper into the quest.
