WWE Announces Brutal Stipulation for Drew McIntyre and CM Punk's Bash in Berlin Match

As a gamer who has lived through the golden era of wrestling, I can confidently say that the upcoming Bash in Berlin Premium Live Event is shaping up to be nothing short of legendary. The Strap match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre promises to be a brutal battle royale, with both men showing an unparalleled level of determination.

Tonight on WWE Raw, CM Punk picked up where he left off after attacking Drew McIntyre last Monday. A week ago, Punk used McIntyre’s own belt to lash him, causing severe cuts and bruises. The animosity between these two has intensified over the past few months, with McIntyre wearing Punk’s bracelet that bears the names of his wife and pet. This is far more than a simple piece of jewelry; their match at SummerSlam was merely the start of what’s to unfold. As Punk stepped into the ring, he donned strips of leather around his neck, hinting at a significant announcement for the audience.

He talked about the chaotic weekend at Fanatics Fest NYC where he got to meet many members of the WWE Universe, some who traveled far and wide just to see him. He doesn’t want fans to think he takes their support for granted, discussing a specific fan who told him she just beat cancer. It hits home for him as he has several people in his life going through their own battles. Then he gets to the strap — since McIntyre is such a big fan of his and wants to be tethered to him, he lays out the challenge for a Strap match, an underutilized match concept in WWE that Punk knows quite well.

Throughout his wrestling career, Punk has participated in several Strap matches, with his most recent being a clash against Umaga in 2009, marking his final WWE bout. In contrast, McIntyre made his Strap match debut in 2022 against Karrion Kross during the Extreme Rules event. To emerge victorious in these matches, one competitor must touch all four corners of the ring before their opponent does so, effectively defeating them.

The fight is bound to become intense as they clash, with Punk showing an unprecedented level of determination. McIntyre can’t bear to wait another week before getting another shot at Punk, so he proposes a show for the spectators instead. As Punk attempts to negotiate a deal over a bracelet, McIntyre refuses, opting instead to compete against him in the match.

The “Bash in Berlin” Premium Live Event is gearing up to be quite exciting, as some significant matches have emerged from SummerSlam. Firstly, the formidable duo known as the Terror Twins – Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley – were ambushed by their fellow Judgment Day members, and they are now seeking revenge. In this event, they will team up against their current adversaries, the Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio.

Regarding titles, Gunther is set to battle Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship. Orton is keen on the contest since he believes a rematch is due following the questionable ending of the King and Queen of the Ring event. If Orton emerges victorious, he’ll be one step closer to equaling John Cena and Ric Flair with 15 World Championships. Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes will keep his title against one of his closest friends, Kevin Owens, in their upcoming matchup.
