WWE Confirms Jade Cargill’s Survivor Series: WarGames Replacement

As a seasoned gamer of wrestling lore, I must say that the WWE Survivor Series 2024 card is shaping up to be a spectacle that will leave fans on the edge of their seats. The women’s WarGames match promises an intense showdown between some of the toughest competitors in the ring today.

WWE prepared for a women’s Survivor Series match featuring major stars from both Raw and SmackDown, but an injury to Jade Cargill prevented her from participating. However, a new ally stepped up on Monday Night Raw last night: Bayley was unveiled as Cargill’s replacement, marking her third WarGames match in her accomplished career.

There was confusion about why Bayley wasn’t included in the initial match, as many thought she would ultimately claim the new United States Championship on SmackDown. However, even after advancing past a first-round three-way contest, she continues to assist her friends.

This year’s Women’s WarGames contest showcases Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan who have been at odds ever since Ripley sustained an injury following WrestleMania 40. Morgan has sworn to strip Ripley bare, and she’s managed to do just that. Joining team Morgan is the Women’s Champion Nia Jax, the Women’s Money in the Bank winner Tiffany Stratton, and WarGames veteran Candice LeRae.

Team Ripley now includes Bayley, who’s previously won, alongside Naomi, Bianca Belair, and IYO SKY – quite a formidable lineup! This year promises a thrilling match-up, as it’s tough to predict the winner due to the high caliber of talent. Team Ripley certainly has the physical prowess and authority, but having two current women’s champions potentially losing seems unusual. However, if Stratton decides to use her briefcase, this unexpected twist could explain the outcome.

In an upcoming match, the rival Bloodline factions will clash. On one side stands Solo Sikoa, who has grown more assertive since Roman Reigns’ title relinquishment in April. With Reigns absent, Sikoa has forged his own Bloodline, consisting of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. Additionally, Bronson Reed will be joining their ranks.

On Roman Reigns’ team, he reconnected with The Usos and Sami Zayn. It’s interesting to see how CM Punk fits into the picture here. Last week, Paul Heyman announced that Punk would join them, which took Reigns by surprise. A few months ago, Heyman made a request of Punk, could this be what we are seeing unfold now?

Recently, Shinsuke Nakamura made his comeback and immediately targeted LA Knight and the United States Championship. We’re looking forward to that encounter. It might rekindle Nakamura’s competitive spirit, but even if it doesn’t, Knight is expected to put up a strong defense.

Discussing battles for titles, Bron Breakker found himself in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship, facing off against Ludwig Kaiser and Sheamus. Notably, the “Celtic Warrior” excels at creating an intense, fight-like atmosphere in these contests. Additionally, Damian Priest will have a chance to rectify his defeat from SummerSlam when he challenges Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.
