WWE Crowns a New Champion on SmackDown

As a long-time fan of WWE and a connoisseur of storylines that keep me on the edge of my seat, I must say, tonight’s SmackDown was nothing short of captivating! The unexpected turn of events, the suspense surrounding Cargill’s absence, and the rise of Naomi as a Women’s Tag Team Champion – it’s all been a rollercoaster ride.

Tonight’s WWE SmackDown delivered a major surprise towards its conclusion, culminating in a new Women’s Tag Team Champion being crowned. The main event featured Bianca Belair and Naomi defending their titles against Nia Jax and Candice LeRae, with Jade Cargill absent. Belair and Naomi showcased a strong team dynamic, ultimately emerging victorious. In the process, Naomi was officially crowned as a Women’s Tag Team Champion. You can witness the entire event in the video below.

Last week, Naomi consented to aid Belair in her Title defense, but tonight, Belair attempted to present another Title to Naomi, who responded that she would only receive it when she had earned it. The events culminated tonight, with Naomi playing a significant role in their successful title defense. In fact, she was the one who delivered the decisive pin on LeRae.

As a die-hard cinema enthusiast, I can’t help but feel ecstatic! Naomi and Belair stood triumphant in the ring, their victory echoing through the arena. With a gleam of pride, Naomi hoisted the Women’s Tag Team Championship aloft, making it official. The future remains uncertain with Cargill’s return, but for now, these two queens reign supreme! The sight of Naomi clutching that Championship gold again has left fans brimming with joy and anticipation for what lies ahead.

This predicament arose following an assault on Cargill, which resulted in Jade being propelled onto a car’s windshield. She’s been declared out of action indefinitely and has since been absent from our television screens. In the narrative, there remains a significant enigma surrounding who perpetrated this attack, as the culprit’s identity is still undisclosed, although various speculations exist.

One individual is Naomi, and speculation suggests that she assaulted Cargill intentionally to clear a path and seize her position as one of the Tag Team Champions. If this is accurate, it could mark a shift in Naomi’s character towards villainy (heel turn), with Cargill presumably unveiling the truth upon her return.

Another possibility suggests that Belair might have been the culprit, which would align with a heel turn scenario. If indeed it was Belair who attacked Cargill, she would’ve cleared the path for her friend Naomi by shoving the rising star aside. Moreover, Belair being the least suspected would add an element of surprise to this theory. However, there is a question mark over this theory as Bianca was engaged in a match when she heard about Cargill’s attack and had to rush out of the ring. This could potentially be rationalized as well.

It could also be someone else, though it also depends on what’s happening behind the scenes. There are conflicting reports regarding Cargill’s actual status, with some saying she’s really injured and others saying it’s all a work. For now it remains to be seen what is really going on, but a real injury does seem plausible, as it would be odd for WWE to cut the Title reign of one of their biggest new superstars short when they had just won them back. If it’s a great story though, then anything’s possible, but hopefully we’ll see Cargill back in action soon, making tonight’s developments all the more intriguing.
