WWE Crowns First Ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion on Raw

In an exhilarating tournament filled with unexpected turns, it ultimately fell on Monday Night Raw to determine WWE’s inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion. The two contenders who emerged were Dakota Kai from Damage CTRL and Lyra Valkyria. Each had put forth immense effort to reach this significant milestone, giving their all in the ring and delivering a fierce battle that gradually wore them down as the match progressed. Both combatants came close to securing victory towards the end of the match, but it was Valkyria who managed to dodge a pin from Kai before landing the Nightwing to secure her triumph. As such, Lyra Valkyria now stands as your WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

As a diehard fan, I’d rephrase it like this: In our epic showdown, those two heavyweights kept exchanging blows, but neither managed to gain an upper hand, leading to a breathtaking stalemate. Initially, I landed the first hit, but couldn’t sustain the momentum as Valeria pushed me towards the ring apron. However, she underestimated my strength and found herself flung headfirst onto the apron by me. In retaliation, Valeria retaliated swiftly, slamming my face onto the apron before unleashing a brutal move that sent us both crashing to the floor.

During the break, Valkyria dominated the match by repeatedly attacking Kai’s lower back, eventually knocking her to the mat. However, Kai retaliated with a series of side kicks towards Valkyria’s head, and then countered one of Valkyria’s moves, sending her into the corner.

In this contest, Lyra Valkyria defeated Dakota Kai using the Nightwing move, making history as the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion. #WWERaw

Kai retaliated with a strong head-kick, sending Valkyria crashing onto the mat forcefully. However, swift Lyra managed to escape the situation. In response, Valkyria turned the tables and executed a powerful slam, attempting a pin, but Kai just barely avoided it. Next, Valkyria climbed high and delivered a crushing leg drop, trying once more to pin Kai, but this time, Kai narrowly evaded the attempt again.

Kai jumped onto Valkyria’s back from the ropes and stomped on her head, but instead of being pinned, Valkyria rolled out of the wrestling ring. Kai attempted another kick, but Valkyria responded with a counterattack, positioning Kai for the Nightwing move, which ultimately led to her victory. With this win, Valkyria became the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about the recent match, and if you could tell me which opponent you’d prefer to see Valkyria take on first in her Intercontinental Championship title run! Don’t forget to share your wrestling insights with me on Bluesky @KnightofOA.
