The WWE began the Money in the Bank event with the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, which, similar to recent women’s matches at this event, set a high standard for the rest of the night. Contestants Alexa Bliss, Giulia, Naomi, Rhea Ripley, Roxanne Perez, and Stephanie Vaquer engaged in an intense battle for the briefcase. Towards the end, it seemed likely that either Ripley or Bliss would win. However, a surprising turn of events occurred as Naomi knocked out both of them and climbed the ladder to secure her victory as the new Women’s Money in the Bank holder – an excellent decision, indeed.

All participants gathered at the center, exchanging firm grips, which left Bliss, Ripley, and Naomi within the wrestling ring. Naomi utilized a ladder to fell Vaquer, sending her crashing to the ground, but Vaquer swiftly re-entered the fray by defeating Perez. For a brief moment, Naomi held dominance, using a ladder to floor Ripley, and then it was Bliss’s turn to take charge. Bliss executed a large dive onto Perez and Naomi while they were both on the ladder.

For a brief moment, Giulia disrupted Bliss by setting up a ladder and skillfully dodging it, leaving Bliss to deal with the ladder’s impact. Later, the ladder caused trouble for Bliss. In the meantime, Vaquer engaged Giulia in combat, and eventually, Ripley regained her footing, delivering a powerful blow that sent Giulia crashing into the corner.

In a swift turn of events, Perez attempted to place a ladder within the ring, but Ripley interfered, pulling both Perez and the ladder towards herself before forcefully knocking Perez down. Similarly, Ripley targeted Naomi next, only to then focus her efforts back on Perez. In an unexpected move, Perez executed a powerful hurricanrana, sending Ripley crashing onto the ladder with impact, creating room for Perez to ascend the ladder. However, Bliss managed to intervene and ultimately save the match.

At a later time, Perez and Giulia found Ripley caught between a ladder and subsequently covered her with numerous ladders outside. In the arena, Naomi ascended, but Vaquer intervened, preserving the match. Subsequently, four wrestlers got back on their feet. Vaquer then began to scale the ladder again, but Giulia pulled her down. However, Vaquer climbed up once more, this time carrying Giulia, only for Giulia to eventually pull them both back down to the ground.

In the heat of the action, I found myself stuck on a ladder, which opened an opportunity for Bliss to deliver a devastating dropkick. As she scaled the ladder, Perez swiftly caught up. Vaquer followed suit, with Naomi not far behind. Bliss executed a powerbomb on Vaquer before tipping over the ladders in an attempt to thwart any victory. However, Perez and I joined forces, managing to bring down Bliss onto a ladder (quite painfully). Eventually, Ripley returned and retaliated against both Perez and me.

In a surprising turn of events, Ripley positioned a ladder, only for things to go awry when Vaquer retaliated with a Devil’s Kiss maneuver on the ladder, eliciting a massive response from the audience. The contestants engaged in fierce combat, and Perez and Bliss executed simultaneous Code Reds on the ladders, enabling Giulia to ascend to the briefcase. Perez joined her at the top, but before long, Bliss and Ripley tried to follow suit, only to be knocked off by Naomi. With everyone else out of the picture, Naomi seized the opportunity, scaling the ladder and snatching the briefcase to claim the title of the latest Money in the Bank winner.

At present, an argument could convincingly be constructed to award the briefcase to any of the six women in the match. However, given her current performance, Naomi seems the most suitable candidate. Currently, Naomi is excelling in her villainous role, and winning the briefcase would enhance this storyline, making it more engaging. Moreover, a villain with the briefcase tends to be more entertaining, and since Naomi already has an adversarial relationship with many of the good-guy wrestlers, this development would align well with her character.
