As a die-hard WWE fan with over two decades of unwavering devotion under my belt, I can confidently say that the Money in the Bank event has undoubtedly ascended to the pinnacle of WWE’s prestigious calendar. From its humble beginnings as a gimmick B-show to becoming one of the “big five,” it’s been an exhilarating journey filled with unforgettable moments and high-stakes drama.
The annual event known as WWE Money in the Bank has established itself as one of the most successful premium live events in the WWE calendar, evolving from a quirky B-show to one of WWE’s “big five” events alongside the iconic shows such as the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series. Typically occurring in the early-to-mid summer, the Money in the Bank event has become a significant milestone on WWE’s schedule due to its signature Money in the Bank ladder matches and high-profile title fights.
Milwaukee Seeks WWE Money in the Bank 2025
Cream City wants to cash in.
As reported by Milwaukee Business Journal, Sports Milwaukee is organizing a bid for WWE Money in the Bank 2025. If successful, the Milwaukee Bucks’ Fiserv Forum would host the event. Fiserv Forum typically brings in around 17,500 fans for basketball games and has exceeded 18,000 for concerts.
This upcoming WWE Money in the Bank is set to take place in the United States for the first time since 2022, when it occurred at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. Previously, the 2023 event happened in London’s O2 Arena, and the July edition was held inside Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.
As a gamer, I was all geared up for the 2022 WWE Money in the Bank event to take place at Allegiant Stadium, but it looks like that plan had some hiccups. The venue got switched to MGM Grand Garden Arena instead, possibly because of slow ticket sales. It’s left me wondering if they might give stadium shows another shot with WWE Money in the Bank down the line.
In terms of financial success, the WWE Money in the Bank has been soaring like a rocket in recent years. The 2023 event broke all previous records as the highest-earning WWE Money in the Bank event ever and also set a new viewership record for premium live events. The 2024 edition surpassed the record for the highest-grossing WWE arena event in Canada in the company’s history and further boosted the previous viewership record by an impressive 46 percent.
