As a seasoned gamer and longtime WWE fan, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement as I witness the rise of Bron Breakker. His recent victory over Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship was nothing short of electrifying. Now, with Jey Uso as his next challenger, it seems Breakker is set to face some tough competition.
Bron Breakker, freshly crowned WWE Intercontinental Champion, faces a tough test against his upcoming opponent. Having dethroned popular figure Sami Zayn and besting him in a rematch, Breakker now prepares for his next title defense. To identify his next competitor, WWE organized a brief tournament that concluded in a Fatal Four-Way bout on Monday Night Raw, which determined the top contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
On Monday nights, it was a thrilling spectacle in the main event featuring Jey Uso, Braun Strowman, Ijla Dragunov, and Pete Dunne. Among them, one was destined to challenge Breakker’s title, and that fortunate individual turned out to be the crowd’s beloved: Yours Truly, Main Event Jey Uso!
Uso encountered some tough challenges since he had to battle against three opponents to reach a title shot with Breakker, but he received assistance along the way. Strowman, who towered over everyone else in the ring, was engaging all three of his adversaries for quite some time. However, his progress came to a halt when Bronson Reed suddenly appeared from the crowd and sent Strowman crashing through the commentator’s table. After that event, Strowman didn’t reappear in the match.
Initially, Uso had an opportunity to defeat Ilja Dragunov, but a swift action from Pete Dunne almost turned the match in his favor. However, Dragunov managed to withstand Dunne’s attempt, restarting the game dynamic, which provided another chance for Uso. This time around, it was Dunne who found himself on the receiving end of Uso’s offensive play, leading to Uso pinning him down and securing his title shot.
Breakker vs. Cena?
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel the anticipation building for Breakker’s upcoming defense against Jey Uso. For quite some time now, Uso has been on a relentless pursuit to claim a singles championship title. However, it appears that Breakker is not just content with his Intercontinental belt; he seems to have set his sights on joining the ranks of wrestling legends in the Hall of Fame. The stage is set for an unforgettable match!
John Cena has made it known that he will embark on a retirement tour next year (2025), wrapping up his professional wrestling career in the WWE after these final performances. With an impressive collection of championships, Cena has never claimed the Intercontinental Championship. Breakker believes it’s time for them to compete for this title at some juncture.
At a WWE SummerSlam media event, Breakker challenged John Cena by saying, “John Cena has never won the Intercontinental Championship before. So I dare you to take it from me. Show some courage, seize the Championship from me. Let’s get this going. Let’s make it happen.
