WWE Raw: Finals of the Intercontinental Championship Contender's Match Set

As a seasoned gamer with years of wrestling video games under my belt, tonight’s WWE Raw was nothing short of thrilling! The Intercontinental Championship fatal four-way to determine the next #1 Contender had me on the edge of my seat. I’ve been following Dominik Mysterio and Ilja Dragunov since their debuts, and it was a treat to see them go head-to-head.

Tonight on WWE Raw, the final two contenders for the Intercontinental Championship fatal four-way match were unveiled, with Jey Uso and Pete Dunne already qualified. Tonight, six more hopefuls intensified their pursuit of the top spot in a series of intense matches. The first bout of the evening featured Dominik Mysterio, who was sporting a swollen and bloody eye, along with Dragon Lee and Ilja Dragunov, who fought fiercely together.

Originally scheduled to compete was Bronson Reed, but due to contracting COVID-19, he won’t be able to participate for the time being. This left Lee and Dragunov in a one-on-one match, as Dominik was eliminated early. Both contenders were eager to make a strong impression on the main roster, with Lee having limited screen time and Dragunov experiencing numerous losses since his April debut. In a notable turn of events, Dragunov secured his first televised win since July, against Breakker. This victory also happened to be Dragunov’s first win since July, a significant achievement for him.

In the second bout of the evening, Braun Strowman squared off against two powerful opponents, Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser. Strowman had an injury coming into this match due to being run over by Reed last week in a car. It seemed like Dunne was attempting to distract Sheamus, which hindered him from securing a victory. However, Strowman managed to score the win by executing a powerful Running Powerslam on Kaiser.

Last month at WWE SummerSlam, Breakker claimed the prestigious main roster championship. His first defense was successful when he defeated Sami Zayn again in a Three Falls Match. It’s tough to predict if Breakker will lose the title anytime soon, but any of these competitors would be an excellent choice as his opponent, further strengthening his title reign.

Next week’s episode of WWE Raw is set to feature a Four-Corner match, known as The Fatal Four-Way. Moreover, Chad Gable and American Made will clash with The Wyatt Sicks in an intense Eight-Man Street Fight. If Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair, the recent Women’s Tag Team Champions, wish to retain their titles, they must be prepared to face Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn in a future challenge.
