WWE Reportedly Re-Signs Tenured Female Superstar

As a longtime fan of WWE and Natalya in particular, I’m thrilled to hear that she has re-signed with the company. Her contributions to the women’s division over the past two decades have been immeasurable. From her early days tag teaming with Victoria and Beth Phoenix, to her role as a locker room leader and trainer for younger wrestlers like Jade Cargill, Natalya has consistently gone above and beyond to help others succeed.

A well-established female wrestler in the WWE, Natalya, is said to have renewed her contract with the company, based on recent reports from PWInsider. Although she has been absent from television for some time, her new deal could lead to her return to the screen relatively soon. There were rumors about Natalya’s contract coming to an end, and there was reportedly interest from other companies looking to recruit her due to her extensive experience in training and coaching young wrestlers, alongside her husband TJ Wilson, a former WWE producer.

Natalya has been a valuable member of WWE for almost twenty years, joining the team in 2007 and teaming up with Victoria right away. Over the next few years, she worked with various tag team partners before finding a lasting partnership with Beth Phoenix. During this period, she was also part of The Hart Dynasty faction alongside Wilson and David Hart Smith. However, Natalya eventually grew discontent, leading her to win the Divas Championship in 2011. Her contributions during that era were instrumental in helping many women’s wrestling careers thrive on television despite their limited experience.

Born and raised amidst the vibrant world of wrestling, she received specialized training in this sport. Consequently, her extensive experience enabled her to assume a leadership role within the locker room. This position seems to be one she has maintained over the years. In 2017, she achieved her second championship title – the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Her victory was met with jubilation from fans who felt that her dedication and selflessness toward other wrestlers merited this accomplishment. More recently, in 2021, she claimed another championship alongside Tamina – the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

In April, Comicbook interviewed Jade Cargill, the former Women’s Tag Team Champion, regarding Natalya’s role in preparing her for her WWE debut. Cargill expressed her gratitude towards having someone like Natalya in the locker room and how instrumental she was in Cargill’s development. “It was wonderful,” Cargill stated. “She’s a seasoned pro in the industry. She offered valuable guidance on areas for improvement and enhancements, and she’s quite vocal about it.”

Natalya has become part of a group of WWE stars who have recently renewed their contracts following their initial signing in 2019 when All Elite Wrestling (AEW) was emerging as a major competitor. Notable names like Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Chad Gable, and Cody Rhodes have all committed to long-term deals. However, one wrestler chose to depart at the conclusion of their contract, likely to join AEW instead.

Stay tuned to Comicbook for updates on WWE and Natalya.
