Over the past few months, WWE has been incredibly active as WrestleMania 41 approaches, and the pace has only increased over the last few weeks. With the year’s biggest spectacle just around the corner, WWE finalized the remaining matches for tonight’s SmackDown and unveiled the complete schedules for both Saturday and Sunday, including the main events for each. Tonight’s SmackDown confirmed the Women’s Tag Team Championships and Sin City Streetfight for the event, and with everything now set in stone, WrestleMania 41 is shaping up to be an extraordinary experience. Let’s take a look at the schedules for Saturday and Sunday, followed by some key highlights of each.
This weekend’s lineup includes the following matches:
– Jade Cargill goes up against Naomi
– War Raiders (current champions) will defend their WWE Tag Team Championships against New Day
– Rey Mysterio takes on El Grande Americano
– LA Knight, the current title holder, faces off against Jacob Fatu for the United States Championship
– Tiffany Stratton (current champion) battles Charlotte Flair for the Women’s Championship
– Gunther (current champion) will defend his title against Jey Uso in the World Heavyweight Championship Match
– The main event is a Triple Threat Match featuring Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins.
On Sunday, the following exciting matches are scheduled:
1. WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships Match: Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez (current champions) will face off against Lyra Valkyria and Bayley.
2. In a Street Fight in Sin City, Damian Priest goes up against Drew McIntyre.
3. The WWE Intercontinental Championship is on the line in a Fatal 4-Way Match, with Bron Breakker (current champion) battling Finn Balor, Dominick Mysterio, and Penta.
4. AJ Styles will square off against Logan Paul.
5. In a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women’s World Championship, Iyo Sky (current champion) will defend her title against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley.
6. The main event will be an Undisputed WWE Championship Match featuring Cody Rhodes (current champion) taking on John Cena.
Both upcoming matches are expected to be exciting, and might even be the highlight of the night. The main matches on Saturday include LA Knight versus Jacob Fatu, Tiffany Stratton facing off against Charlotte Flair, and a Triple Threat battle between Punk, Reigns, and Rollins. Many other matches could also turn out to be fantastic, but the storyline behind the triple threat is more intriguing, and Jacob Fatu is particularly pumped up for his WrestleMania debut.
Regarding Stratton and Flair, their journey has been turbulent to put it mildly, but tonight’s SmackDown seems to have steered them back on course. Instead of dialogues and audience engagement, we witnessed raw fights and surprise attacks, a strategy that proved effective. It remains intriguing who will come out on top next week, as it will be the final show before WrestleMania. Despite the challenges in establishing this rivalry, when Flair and Stratton finally step into the ring, their match promises to be spectacular.
On Sunday, some highly anticipated matches are Rhodes versus Cena, a triple threat battle between Sky, Belair, and Ripley, and the potentially chaotic Fatal 4-Way involving Breaker, Balor, Mysterio, and Penta. The Women’s Tag Team match promises to be exciting with the impressive roster of Morgan, Rodriguez, Valkyria, and Bayley. I can hardly imagine these talents not delivering an exhilarating performance.
As a fervent fan, I’ve got to say, the duels between Jey Uso and Gunther, and Jade Cargill against Naomi, promise an electrifying spectacle. However, while I’m excited about these matches, I must admit that I’m uncertain if they’ll surpass the brilliance of other bouts on the roster.
But let me tell you, Naomi’s transformation into a villain has been nothing short of remarkable, and I can hardly imagine her performance at WrestleMania not living up to its promise.
